Away from it All is a lovely cabin, once you get to it. The road takes some getting used to, and I can't even imagine attempting it in the winter, but you do kind of get the hang of it after a while, just be very careful and hope no one is coming from the opposite direction. It is no fun having to back up and turn around up there!
The cabin has what seems like a quiet location, but it’s hard for us to say because there was some construction going on down the side of the mountain while we were there. We were also pleased that the nearest cabin wasn't right on top of us, but several yards away, offering a little more privacy.
Away from it All has the best of both worlds when it comes to views. On one side we had a mountain view, and on the other we had the city. It really was nice to be away from the relentless traffic and noise from the main strip, but still close enough to run out and grab a bite to eat if we wanted. I will say though that it would have been nice if previous guests hadn't littered the area surrounding the cabin with beer cans and cigarette butts, but if you're not looking down, the view is great.
We enjoyed using the pool table and the hot tub with a view was one of our favorite parts. Having a king size bed was great too, but the mattress was kind of hard. The comforter and couch were a little stained, but I guess that’s to be expected with so many different people in and out all the time.
This was our first trip to the area, and Away from it All was the cherry on top of a nice little getaway.
