The charm of the old...the convenience of the new! We added on to the original 1940 cottage in 2008 to create a new 2400 sq.ft home that is perfect for extended families. Sleeps 10, great outdoor space for cookouts (partially covered), large yard for sports and plenty of parking off the street. Free wireless internet. Game/TV room for kids, enclosed front porch, airy, sunny breezeway for morning coffee. 4 bedrooms, including a 'kids' room that sleeps 5. Everything is clean and neat! Short walk to the beach, ice cream, conveniences, the Sound View carousel... A great vacation destination for families. Please, no pets or smoking in the house. Tenants bring sheets and towels. You'll find a spotless house upon arrival...please leave the house in the same condition.
Three sisters and their families share this well-loved, well-maintained cottage for half of the summer, and rent for the other half. Old Lyme is where we grew up - we now lay our hats in Hamden, CT; Northhampton, MA; and Aix-en-Provence, France!
We think you'll love our cottage's cleanliness and friendliness as much as we do. The indoor/outdoor spaces are perfectly set-up for families!
Judy McQuade purchased this cottage in 1998
We bought a small cottage with a big lot in 1998 and expanded the building over 2007-2009.
The cottage is spacious, the yard is large. Plenty of off street parking.
Old Lyme is a lovely summer destination - historic city center, stately homes, fine dining, outdoor music and festivals. Near Old Saybrook, Mystic Seaport, Connecticut casinos. The beach community is a fun place for families. Leave the car behind and walk to the beach, ice cream, gift shops, outdoor concerts, the Old Lyme carousel, bars and restaurants.
