So, what’s behind the Blue Door? A very comfortable, bright and airy newly refurbished fully equipped and pet friendly La Jolla vacation home. You’ll enjoy a spacious living room, dining room, and master bedroom with its own private half-bath, plus a guest bedroom and separate full bathroom with tub and stall shower. Large French doors open from the dining area to a private enclosed back yard and gazebo perfect for outdoor entertaining, meals, or barbecue. The cheerful kitchen is fully equipped with new stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, overhead track lighting, and all cooking utensils, dishware, and silverware.

Located in the "WindanSea" beach area of La Jolla, PuertAzul is a five-minute walk to beautiful local beaches such as WindanSea known for surfing, Marine Street beach with its squeaky-clean sands, as well as a variety of small coves and beaches.

Also nearby are the broad beaches at La Jolla Shores, perfect for families and small children; the Scripps Institution of Oceanography; Birch Aquarium; University of California San Diego campus; Torrey Pines nature park; and the world-renown Torrey Pines Golf Course. This home is very spacious, larger than we expected from the photos, and the fenced back yard is great. Only a small parking lot separates the house from LaJolla Blvd,so while in the yard,the street noise is considerable, but it is quiet inside the house. We were concerned about parking on the street, but had no problems, although summer guests may have more issues. The house was spotless and the kitchen well equipped, with the exception of no garbage disposal.

The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
The property manager was somewhat unhelpful.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

I liked the space and the courtyard. Location to beach and villige was fine.
But this is and old and slitent beachhouse,very simple and I think we paid to much for this vacationexperience. Did not have any contact propertymanagement,even if they said they would come by. Conclusion was not value for money.

My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at the 521 Fern Glen property. It was bright and spacious inside with a nice backyard, clean, within walking distance of downtown, and just a couple blocks from the beach. The home is located in a pleasant neighborhood, which allowed our middle-school aged children to venture to the beach by themselves. This was a very pleasant and enjoyable place to stay.
