I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was very happy with the location.
The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
The property manager was very unhelpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

Yes,stay at Kona Magic Sands. Perfect view,good restaurant and bar in complex, dolphins and whales right off the deck, snorkeling out in front of complex and great beach next door. Try for another room but if 313 is the only room available I would stay again. Tiny showerstall and needs a new showerhead. 2 towels and washcloths are not enough. I don't mind laundry but do not want to do it daily. Try to find one of these condos managed by a different management company. I am not picky but the room needed to be cleaned better. I notified Knudson and Associated after I had cleaned the shower and kitchen sink and washed the coffee cups. I bought cleanser and a scrub brush as we arrived Fri night and I did not think that this was and emergency. When I called them they said they would have their cleaners call. I never heard anything. I called back and they told me that their cleaners had been there. If I am paying 85$ for cleaning,I expect a clean shower and toilet. I ask for a refund of the cleaning fee and told no. No one bothered to call or come buy and check out the unit.I paid top dollar for this unit, no discounts at all. Go to Kona Magic Sands in Hawaii and type in a room #. Find a room with a different management company,but DO stay there. It was awesome.

Avoid this noisy dirty studio in Kona

Rating Details:
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was very unhappy with the location.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
The property manager was more than helpful.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

Reviewer Comments:
This studio looked great on-line - nicely decorated and cozy. In reality, it was right next to Ali'i Drive, so you hear every car, moped and motorcycle that drives by all day and all night because the doors and windows are not solid - they are shutters.
The air conditioner, the flower arrangements and all the shutter doors had a half inch of dust layered on them. The bathroom made me ill to enter - the odor coming from the toilet or possibly the drain was awful.
The owners had done a nice job with appointments for the unit - beach chairs and snorkel gear, etc. The place is decorated nicely, but I could not get over the road noise, the dust everywhere and the smell.

Having lived in Kona this location could not have been better in fact it was perfect. The view million $$$$. KMS 313 is dated but clean very local in feel, could have used more storage space. My wife (security conscious)the sliding door needs to be fixed. It was hard for a 150 lb person to take a shower.

This is our second stay here in two years and with a few improvements in furniture it was even better. Wonderful location, sights, sounds. The morning we left we sat on the balcony and watched the dolphins jump and spin right in front of us. (not the first time). We do not think there is a better place on the island.
