Truly a mountain retreat located off the beaten path in Piney Creek, NC and close to the Virginia line, yet easily accessible to the great outdoors of the High Country of Western North Carolina. This cabin is situated on the shore of the beautifully pristine New River, one of the last wild rivers in the US, and offers easy access to a variety of outdoor activities. Enjoy some fine conversation while sitting with your companions in the riverside community gazebo. Or try your hand at canoeing or kayaking, or perhaps spend the afternoon taking a lazy float down the gentle river on a jumbo inner tube while you relax your worries away. Bring your own equipment, or rent some at one of several local outfitters. There’s also a small stream if you want to try your hand at catching some mountain trout or just cool your tootsies during the warm afternoons. The New River State Park is just a ten-minute drive, and from there you’ll have access to a range of river-based activities and educational information about this geological wonder.

You’re also just a short scenic drive from the heart of the High Country and will certainly enjoy exploring the numerous small towns that dot the mountainsides. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was happy with the location.
The vacation rental was very clean.
The property manager was very helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

We enjoyed the cabin. Had some difficulty with the firewood but bought a starter and got it going. We also would have liked some channels for kids. That section was very limited. Otherwise, the cabin suited our needs and it was an enjoyable trip.

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was more than happy with the location.
The vacation rental was spotless.
The property manager was very helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

Reviewer Comments:
My only complaint is the checkin time of 4pm. I think that is a little late especially being charged the same price as a full day. Most people leave early in am to go on vacation and since we r only 2 hrs away we got there pretty early. It worked out since
we kayaked until check in time but it wld have been nice to at least be able to turn the window unit ac on. Once we checked in it didn't get cool in the house until the next morning. other than that it was wonderful -i will definitely stay there again.

We do offer early check in at 1pm and late check out at 1pm. Just let us know when you book your reservation or anytime up until your arrival if you would like to add this.
