Lewes Beach house by beautiful Cape Henlopen State Park, two blocks from the beach, fully furnished with A/C, 4 bedroom home with a two car garage and off-the-street parking, located on quiet street, walk to beach or downtown Lewes with its shops, museums, and restaurants. It is just a short walk to jet skiis, boats, and fishing pier. The home is close enough to walk to breakfast, enjoy the coffee shops, spend time at the spa, visit the unique toy store, and don't forget the homemade ice cream store. The home is located a short one and a half mile drive from Cape Henlopen State Park, which has beach access (Atlantic Ocean), fishing piers, daily educational classes, basketball courts, bike trails, umbrella rental, pavilion, nature trail, modern bath house including showers, changing rooms, and a food concession. A few minutes from water park, go-kart track, and miniature golf. Non-smoking, No pets. Professionally landscaped in 2009.

Just minutes from water parks, Rehoboth Beach and its boardwalk, Cape Henlopen State Park (which has Atlantic Ocean access) and downtown shops and restaurants. The short walk to the beach takes only a few minutes. Have dinner by the canal while watching the boats go by. Take a dolphin cruise with guaranteed dolphin sightings or rent a bike and check out historic Lewes. Don't miss the water slides, Canon House, Zwanendael Museum, stylish boutiques, unique toy store, and home-made ice cream shop. Events are planned through out the entire year. Four hours south of New York City, one hour south of Dover, Delaware, two hours west of Washington, D.C. One mile from Cape May-Lewes Ferry. Lewes is a few minutes north of Rehoboth Beach, DE. There is an information book at the home which includes emergency numbers, Lewes calendar, local activities, and local restaurants

One upstairs bedroom has dark window treatments for those who like to sleep in during the mornings and cable TV. The room has new window treatments, pictures, lamp, spread, ceiling fan and fresh paint in 2007. Another room has queen sized bed in upstairs bedroom which has cable TV and its own access to full sized bathroom. The room has new window treatments, lamp, spread,ceiling fan and fresh paint in 2008. The other room upstairs has as full sized bed with new bedspread, ceiling fan, and fresh paint. Free cable and wireless Internet. Each room has a window A/C unit.

The home is well maintained by the owner and cleaned by the owner. The kitchen has new kitchen table & chairs, new microwave, radio w/ipod docking station & is fully stocked w/ all cooking utensils, plates, bowls, etc. There is remote A/C in the living room, cable TV w/ DVD player, & furnished in leather. Child's high chair is available upon request. Beach toys located in garage. Renters have access to two car garage w/ plenty of room for your kayak or canoe. There is an enclosed porch freshly painted, new wicker furniture, carpet, pictures, window treatments, & ceiling fan. Two decks located on the second & third floors. The kitchen & one of the bedrooms was recently painted. The property was professional landscaped in the spring of 09. Great town for bike riding, tax-free shopping, kids activities or relaxing.

The unit is child proofed, (owners have children.) Located on East Market, Lewes Beach, DE

Lewes has a water park, go-carts, miniature golf, movie theaters, shops, bike rental, restaurants, dolphin tours, fishing boats and pier, museum and more. Located just minutes from Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, tax-free shopping outlets and attractions. Four hours south of New York City, located where the Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean meet, next to Cape Henlopen State Park. Just north of Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, rides, golf, and more. Named one of America's Top 12 Destinations. Lewes has charming, well-preserved historic homes and a downtown with shops, art galleries, antique stores and fine dining. Some of the best crab cake sandwiches in the world can be found in Lewes, the next Martha's Vinyard.

This home has the perfect location. Walk to the beach in the mornings, bike rides at Cape Henlopen State Park in the afternoon and stroll downtown in the evening. The home is in walking distance from several restaurants. We highly recommend taking the dolphin cruise. The cruise location is within walking distance from the house. Have the kids bring their ipods...new kitchen radio with ipod docking station. 2009 is the perfect year to visit Lewes. Community events are planned throughout the year. We will provide activity brochures for your stay.

We used this home for a week in July and it exceeded our expectations. It was kept extremely neat and clean, was quiet, and offered plenty of space for the family to "stretch out."
It is a short walk to the bay beach, and within walking distance of the town.

Lewes is a great destination. The town is quaint with excellent restaurants, and attracts a nice family type clientele. Cape Henlopen State Park is a short drive and has a beautiful ocean side beach and bike trails.

3-generation family vacation

We all really enjoyed staying at your house. We were very comfortable, even when there were 8 adults in the house, and the grandparents especially liked having their own private "apartment" downstairs. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch enjoying the breeze, and on the deck eating at the picnic table when it wasn't too hot. We enjoyed exploring Lewes and the beaches. It was great being able to walk everywhere, especially since the three generations often had different things they wanted to do. One of the highlights of our stay was watching the fireworks on "our" beach on the Fourth - more fun than a lot of big city displays we've seen in the past. We were also pleased to find several historic sights within a short drive of Lewes. We would certainly recommend Lewes and your home to anyone for a relaxing family vacation.

We loved this house!

This house was exactly as described and clean and ready for occupancy. The owners were friendly and gave helpful advice and activity suggestions.
Our family of seven adults fit beautifully into the bedrooms and living spaces of this perfectly situated house. With two outdoor decks, and an enclosed porch besides the livingroom and the dining table and the yard there were plenty of places for us to spread out, and places to be together. Even the poorest walkers could walk to the beach because it is so close. Lewes shops are fun and varied. There are boat trips to take for fishing or bird and dolphin watching, and the Cape Henlopen State Park to visit with classes and things to do there. One morning I got up before sunrise to take pictures at the park. It was beautiful.

A pleasant surpprise

When you rent a home you never know what you are walking into but in this case we were pleasantly surprised. The home itself was renovated and spotless. It was not huge but there was plenty of space for 6 adults and four chlidren, ages 5 and under. The location itself was perfect - a short walk to the bay beach and town. I would recommend the town of Lewes and the home to anyone.

We loved this house. It is in such great condition we felt right at home. The location to the beach is just perfect. The charming town of Lewes has so much history. Within 10 minutes driving you have all kinds of entertainment.
But mostly we loved being in the house enjoing the sun on the roof deck or the evening sky from the closed-in porch. All and all a great rental. Clean and complete!
