For discerning visitors, the choice is clear - a little less crowded, a lot quieter, and more residential in character than its bustling neighbors, Seabrook Island’s maritime forest and ecology are becoming a clearly desirable alternative vacation. Our beaches are nesting grounds for the loggerhead turtles and the forested acres inland are home to fox, deer, bobcat and a dizzying assortment of bird life. You are welcome to bring your own wildlife as long as we discuss with you how your pet will be managed. Our shady, and secluded vacation home lies within the gated community of Seabrook Island on a cul-de-sac in the Lakes Section of Seabrook. The property has hardwood floors throughout, a fully furnished kitchen, two-car garage, 2+ bedrooms (queen, twins) and 2+ baths. Enjoy the forty foot living room/dining room and a separate small den with queen sofa-bed. An expansive, tree-shaded deck runs the length of the home and overlooks a lagoon just steps away.

The deck contains patio furniture and gas grill for use by our guests, and is accessible through sliders from the living room, master bedroom and den. Two Island cruiser bicycles are available for guests. A beautiful wide swath of ocean beach is 3 minutes by car, 10 minutes biking and is adjacent to the property owners’ pool complex. Club membership privileges are available, giving users access to two world quality golf courses, the equestrian and tennis centers, and use of several pools, all within moments from the home. The charming city of Charleston, SC is 22 miles from Seabrook’s gate, a picturesque 30 minute drive through the Low County. This typically Southern city, with its vibrant history and world-class restaurants and shopping received the #4 ranking in 2004 Travel and Leisure’s Top Destinations in the United States, offering an ideal break from the days of tanning, biking, and general relaxing on the Island. Aquarium, IMAX, outdoor markets, historical homes abound.

The Newton Farms supermarket, various restaurants, Starbucks, and specialty stores in the newly built Freshfields Village are two minutes from Seabrook’s gate. The home sleeps 6 – linens and towels are provided. Both a clothes washer and dryer are available for use by our guests. This is a non-smoking home and pets considered on an individual basis. Our home is available weekly throughout the year. Monthly 'snowbird' rental for October-April is welcome. Amenities: Secure, gated community, Fireplace, Phone, Answering Machine, AC, Direct TV, DVD, VCR, Stereo, CD, Full Kitchen, Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Cooking Utensils, Linens, Washer & Dryer, Gas Outdoor Grill, Porch Table and Chairs. Beach towels ARE NOT PROVIDED, however, towels are provided at the pool. Next door to Kiawah Island (home of the Ryder Cup and World of Golf - and the world famous Ocean Course).

Nearby Bohicket Marina offers an array of dining, boat rental (chartered deep sea fishing, excursion boats [ACE basin-sunset tours, etc.] and individual rental for your own discoveries) parasailing, seasonal festivities, shopping, extraordinary sunsets.

Our family at the end of the week just said - we don't want to leave paradise. We have actually traveled alot. I have traveled extensively internationally and this home was exactly what I was looking for my family.

We jumped the waves for a couple of hours every day, my son went fishing in the surf and caught shark, sting ray and I don't know what the other fish were. We went shopping and dining in Charleston, tours of the plantations, walking tours of historic Charleston, and enjoyed our barbeques and late evenings on the deck while the kids took in the T.V. inside. Despite the fact that on the second to last day we went deep sea fishing on a charter and brought back so much fish for the freezer that we had to buy a cooler to transport the frozen fillets on the plane (for a small fee they will clean them for you at the docks), we were all so relaxed after this vacation that we plan to return. Oh, I can't forget to mention how much my husband loved the golf courses. He found them very well cared for, of moderate difficulty and met up with some very nice gentlemen to share some rounds with.

The house is excellently cared for and in a very peaceful setting. The owners are delightful and will help you with any arrangements needed. My kids were 13 (boy) and 14 (girl). They were having so much fun they actually didn't fight during this vacation. My daughter told me at the end that she thought it would be fun but.... it was amazing (according to a 14 year old girl)! I just can't say enough.

Perfect getaway destination, close to Charleston

We really enjoyed the time we spent on Seabrook Island. This home had everything we expected, and even had some things that surprised us. We especially enjoyed the bicycles on the beach, and the watching the alligators in the lagoon, from off of the back deck. We couldn't have been happier with this vacation rental. Everything we needed (grocery, drugstore, coffee house, restaurant, etc.) was on Seabrook Island, and Charleston was just 20-30 minutes away. I would definitely recommend this property!!!!!!

We loved the villa and the beach and found it relaxing and
the beach and surf were just great. It is a distance from
Charleston, but it was well worth it to be on seabrook island. our two youngster were 8 and 9 and this was
a good location for them.

We found the house to be accurately described, clean and very comfortable. The deck overlooking the lagoon is a real plus. We could have just stayed on the deck and been entertained by all the wildlife activity.

However, there is so much to do in the area, that we went out and about quite a bit. The beaches are marvelous; the many restaurants are excellent; and the opportunities to explore local history abound.

The owners communicated with us and kept us well informed about the property, area events and the status of our rental.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and have already made arrangements for a second visit to this great home. We also recommended to friends with a three-year old child and two nice dogs.
