I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.

Cabin is cute, but very rustic and all the furniture/decorations both inside and out are very very old. It was stocked with everything you might need from every possible kitchen utensil (also ancient though) to bandaids and a whole closet full of towels/blankets/etc. It was mostly clean, but there was a thick layer of dust throughout the cabin. It's also very dark inside. The dock with the cabin is unsteady and uneven, so it was a bit dangerous. Our kids played on the little bit of beach at the cabin as the water is very shallow, but there's a public beach right next to the cabin if you'd prefer. The deck is great to sit and watch the most perfect views of the sunset in the evenings. The entrance to the state park is literally at the end of the driveway, so you have easy access to everything there (biking/hiking/walking). We also walked to town several times which is less than a 15min walk. We had deer in the yard every morning and a fox one day. Overall, the rustic atmosphere was cozy, but don't expect fancy or modern.
