This Ocean View property has the closest proximity to Espadilla Beach than any other rental property with this type of view. It's just a short walk down to the beach where you can take a stroll, Horseback Ride along the uncrowded shores, or Surf the exciting waves. Monkeys, Sloths and other exotic animals in addition to Toucans and hundreds of species of exotic birds surround the area. Adventure lovers can take a Canopy Tour and sail through the trees, Raft down one of the exciting rivers, or go World Class Sport Fishing. The Villa is most comfortable for 4 people, but can sleep 6. Manuel Antonio is located in the Central Pacific region of Costa Rica. Manuel Antonio Park is the main attraction that draws hundreds of people to this area from all over the world. Outdoor and nature enthusiasts will love the trails that twist through the park, past mangroves, balsa trees, wild plantains, and the Manzanillo tree that bears a poison fruit. Birding enthusiasts will want to see the more than 260 species of birds that reside here, including the colorful Toucan. The park is also home to many monkeys, including the white-faced Capuchin and Squirrel monkeys, both of which are endangered species. You can also hear the Howler Monkeys as you walk through the beautiful trails back to the gorgeous beaches that the Park has to offer. Quepos, the nearby town, offers Anglers incredible sport fishing. Fishing charters leave daily in search of marlin, sailfish, tuna, dorado, roosterfish, and snook. Excellent fishing can be had year-round in the mild waters.

The house has 2 Air Conditioned Bedrooms (one downstairs with a Queen bed) and a Master Bedroom upstairs (with a King bed), 2 full baths with a shower, a living room, dining area, fully furnished kitchen, covered patio with an awesome view of the Pacific Ocean and Manuel Antonio Park. Upper bedroom also has a covered patio with a spectacular view! There is a Sofa Bed in the living room that can also sleep 2 people; however it would be most comfortable for 1 adult or two children. Bed linens and towels are provided. There is Cable TV and a Telephone with Internet access for your convenience. If you do not feel like cooking, there are excellent restaurants within walking distance. Ideal place in paradise

My husband and I had a lovely time here earlier this month.
This villa is as close to Espadilla beach as you can get and still have a wonderful view. The road to the beach is hot and steep, but the ocean breezes at this house keep it comfortable day and night. From the balcony we watched sloths and birds and both the titi and capuchin monkeys came buy for a visit. Ron, the concierge, was jovial and attentive and Gladys, the housekeeper, made georgeous flower arrangements and kept the house spotless. We enjoyed hiking and swimming in beautiful Manuel Antonio park, and fabulous seafood dinners at a variety of small, casual restaurants. The kitchen here is small but fine for preparing breakfast and lunch, and the appliances are new, including the washer and dryer, so don't overpack! There are certainly some more luxurious house in the area but many do not have a view or are not within comfortable walking distance from Espadilla beach. We were very glad we chose Villa Vista and we will surely return here when we visit Costa Rica again.

Even Better than Advertized (if possible)!!!!!!!

We just came back from a week at Villa La Vista. We rented the 2 bedroom villa which was absolutely perfect for our family. Because of the superb location, we did not have to rent a car. We walked down to the beaituful beach below for hours of daily fun in the pacific surf (which you could hear crashing from the house), walked to nearby restaurants and the amazing Manual Antonio park
when we weren't otherwise enjoying nature come to us on the two fabulous decks nestled in the hillside. At the house, we heard and saw howler monkeys, white faced monkeys, tucans, sloths and more and became friends with an iguana which seemed to come with the house and sunned himself on the roof in front of the top deck, inches from our feet as we were reading on the upper deck. In case that weren't enough, the house came with a congenial property manager who took it upon himsef to act as our concierge, organizing tours (with pickup and drop off at the Villa), meeting us at the airport, providing all sorts of helpful information about Manuel Antonio, things to do, etc., arranging itnernet access, taxis and other things that made the trip easy and relaxing. He even went out and found drawing paper for our daughter who had run out of the paper we brought on the trip! It was a beaufiul house with lovely wood, details, light as well as being extremely comfortable. All in all, a magical spot, incredibly reasonably priced and we can't wait to go back.

Wow! What a Vacation Spot!

What a vacation! It was entirely like *living* in Costa Rica. This was not a motel or a luxurious resort, but our own house, with an “at home” feeling.

If you think you’d like to:
-have your morning coffee on the shaded balcony of your “own house”
-watch and photograph the birds, monkeys and sloths passing over and around the house
-enjoy ocean breezes all day
-watch the para sailors
-check your email… or not
-watch TV… or not
-take a steep walk to the beach
-go to nearby resorts for drinks, dinner and different views
-identify tropical birds in the “front yard” canopy
-see flowers in your courtyard and from your bedroom
-eat lunch “at home”
-read-read-read to the sound of the birds, monkeys, surf and then look up from time to time at the Pacific
-leave the doors and windows open without worrying about insects.
-arrange tours and get advice about activities from Ron, the property manager (rafting, mangrove tour, canopy tour,hiking trails, etc.)
-watch the sunset from a balcony
and
-drift off to sleep in a comfy bed, listening to the Pacific surf,
then this is the place for you, too.

This is a sweet, modest house: clean, comfortable, reasonable, and complete in every way. We had the most relaxing vacation ever, which is exactly what we wanted. At Villa La Vista you can make your vacation what you want it to be, too, I’ll bet!

Magical Vacation!

I just wanted to tell you that we found your house and our stay in Manuel Antonio to be absolutely magical. Every so often, lodging and an experience is even BETTER than the advertising (website) leads you to believe and this was one of those lucky occasions for us. Your house is wonderfully private, beautiful and inviting, the different view from the decks spectacular and the location PERFECT. We saw both white face and howler monkeys in the trees around the house, beautiful birds and loved seeing the iguana sun himself on the red roof by the top deck every day. The beach below was great for swimming and the walk down to it beautiful. Thank you. We can't wait to come back!

I also want to say that we SO appreciated Ron's help and availability. He made our stay amazingly comfortable and easy. Thanks to you too, Ron!

Fabulous Get-Away

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time spending the better part of Holy Week (a pretty big deal in CR) at Villa La Vista. Ron, the concierge, met us to go over everything in the villa: gave us tips re: groceries, restaurants, etc, and made arrangements for us to do a canopy tour & set up a tour guide for our visit to Manual Antonio Park (an absolute must). We've rented a number of similar accomodations in various places, and never had someone available to help navigate things like this - it was really a nice option. The villa itself was comfortable, airy and roomy enough that the 5 of us felt we had some space. The views from the 2 balconys were amazing - a perfect place to have your morning coffee while watching the sunrise, listen to the howler monkeys and experience the wonder of watching a troop of squirrel monkeys pass through the trees directly in front of the balcony and over the roof! The walk down to a long, perfect beach (waves are great for body surfing or boogie boarding) is steep & rutted and I'd definately recommend a 4wd vehicle if you choose to drive it - actually, a 4wd is pretty much needed if you plan on driving anywhere in CR. Would absolutely recommend staying at Villa La Vista - the owner sent lots of great information on the area and was available for any questions. Perfect spot to spend part of your CR vacation!
