This lovely 1500 square foot guest house is fully-equipped for your stay. Located on our 300 acre working ranch, the guest house is tucked away on its own corner of the property with private drive and gated entrance. A porch runs the entire length of the house and looks out on the beautiful countryside where every evening the skyline boasts spectacular sunsets. A large open family room/dining/kitchen is perfect for family gatherings. Guests are free to roam the ranch property which includes several small lakes (four to seven acres) and large expanses of wooded acreage where wildlife and birds abound. Fishing on the lakes is available. Canoes and boats are provided for those who want to go out on the lakes to fish or just relax. The ponds are stocked with catfish, Florida and native bass, and catfish. Visitors can also receive ranch tours including a chance to see prize winning Shorthorn cattle and the owner's herd of miniature horses.

Spring House has it all.

We have just completed out third winter and planning many more at Spring House. This in itself speaks volumes of the benefits for staying at Spring House. It offers something for everyone of all ages.
For the bird lovers. as many as 20 bright red cardinals on the feeder at the same time, blue birds and quail accompanying you on your walks, also seen are owls, many kinds of hawks, and vultures.
For animal lovers, to be seen are otters, beavers, armadillos, deer, coyotes and all kinds of farm animals.
Nature hikes will take you on a variety of trails and through fields and pastures carpeted with wild spring flowers and around lakes with their wetland habitat and full of fish, and frogs singing their chorus songs.
For those simply looking for rest, you will find the peaceful and quiet atmosphere most relaxing. Swinging on the porch swing watching the beautiful sunsets and the millions of stars begining to twinkle is beyond description.
Be assured that Paula and Jim with their gracious and friendly demeanor will do what ever it takes to make your stay a most rewarding experience.
So the question becomes, where in the world could you stay and have all of this ?

Spring House is Relaxation

It is difficult to imagine a better place to relax and get away from it all than Spring House. The house itself is very comfortable and the porch provides a lovely view of the part of the property on which it is located. My wife and I find that we begin to relax almost immediately after arriving and maintain that mindset throughout our stays. We are normally very active people but are easily able to switch gears when we are at Spring House. The property provides as much solitude as one desires and we enjoy it with frequent walks, bike rides, and fishing in the private, stocked lakes. We can't find the time to watch TV or DVDs when visiting the property because we are too busy relaxing!

We have found Spring House to be the ultimate location for true R and R and would urge anyone seeking refuge from the city to visit. In addition to the lovely, peaceful setting, the owners, Jim and Paula, have been invaluable in answering questions and in making the Spring House experience a memorable one for visitors. For the couple seeking a getaway and a place to relax, Spring House is hard to beat. There are many attractions and activities offered in the area around Spring House but we prefer the peace that Spring House offers.
