MY WIFE SPENT 7 DAYS IN GRAND STRAND HOSPITAL WITH LIVER PROBLEMS, VACATION WAS NOT THAT ENJOYABLE

We had an excellent stay at the Brigadunes, however we felt very uncomfortable the entire stay because this condo had been broken into just prior to our stay. You could see where the door was damaged and it gave us a creepy feeling, wondering if it would happen to again. The kitchen could have been better stocked with nice utensils and more pots, pans & bakeware. We rented for a month so I really could've used those kitchenware pieces (we purchased our own). The furniture was excellent and the condo was nice with an Awesome view of the ocean!! The Maintenance staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the stay and plan to return!

BRIGADUNE 8E IS A LOVELY CONDO WITH EVERYTHING IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. MB VACATION RENTALS STAFF (PARTICULARLY EMMA) ARE WONDERFUL; HOWEVER, THE RATES HAVE GOTTEN TOO HIGH AND THE $102 RESERVATION FEE FOR A CUSTOMER THAT HAS BEEN STAYING WITH YOU 4 TIME A YEAR FOR 15 YEARS IS RIDICULOUS. ALSO, NO ONE WANTS TO HAVE TO PAY FOR LINENS OR DRAG THEM FROM YOUR OWN HOME. THAT TAKES AWAY MUCH OF THE PLEASURE OF VACATION. I DON'T KNOW OF ANYONE THAT WOULD WANT A PILE OF DIRTY LINENS TO WASH WHEN THEY GET HOME. WHEN SOMEONE HAS BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR AS LONG AS I HAVE, THERE SHOULD BE SOME SORT OF DISCOUNT OR FREE LINENS. I AM COMING DOWN THE END OF OCTOBER FOR A WEEK, AND IT WILL BE THE FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS THAT I HAVE RENTED THROUGH A PRIVATE OWNER. I WILL MISS EMMA AND THE OTHER GREAT PEOPLE IN THE FRONT OFFICE, BUT I CAN NO LONGER AFFORD YOUR RATES. I SENT A LETTER ABOUT THIS BACK IN MAY AND ANOTHER 2 WEEKS AGO, BUT NEVER GOT A REPLY.

Thank you for your review. The reservation fee for 2011 was $50 not $102. This has been reduced for 2012 as well as the rates. Cleaning fees and linen fees are included in the rate. Our 2012 prices are some of the best in town and we invite you to call for more information. We hope this helps in the cost of yuor vacation and sincerely hope to see you again.

the only negative was the kitchen was not furnished well

the only negative was the kitchen was not furnished well. there were plenty of pitcher lids, but none fit he only pitcher we could find. i believe there was only 1 or 2 cereal bowls. limited knives/cutlery. plenty of drinking glasses and coffee cups, but everything else seemed to be odd numbers and limited.
