A Hidden Gem

Our large extended family rented this lovely house overlooking a scenic beaver pond for our Christmas get together and the house was spectacular. We enjoyed the large open dining and living room area with plenty of room of all of us to sit and eat at one time, the grand stone fireplace, and the hot tub on the deck was just what we needed after a day of skiing at nearby Jiminy Peak (10 minutes away). Ping pong, pool, and air hockey as well as several TVs provided more than enough entertainment. The owner came to show us how to work the hot tub, fireplace, and wood stove and shared some history of the property as well. A great place for a relaxing weekend and family reunion. Our cell phones and blackberries all worked from the house, not that we used them much in such a relaxing environment. Don't be alarmed when you drive down the driveway as most of the house is not visible from driveway but is built to capitalize on the spectacular view. There is a trout stream running through the property so we plan to return in the Spring for some fishing.
