In every season, this new cabin provides exceptional views of the water and the natural beauty that surrounds it. You can enjoy the fire pit near the lakes edge and listen to the calls of the many loons that the Flowage is famous for. The cabin has its own private dock with a 14 foot fishing boat and canoe. Boat motors, kayaks, and fishing guides can be provided for an extra fee.

The Flowage encompasses 9 lakes, three rivers and several creeks, all beautifully free of development and pollution. The Flowage has been officially designated as a protected wilderness area securing its wild beauty and unspoiled character for generations to come. In the winter, the snowmobile trail comes right to your doorstep and ice fishing abounds (you can even monitor your tip-ups from the living room!). We enjoy visiting our cabin and relaxing with our friends and family that visit us when we are there. We built the cabin in 2008 and have enjoyed ice fishing, snowmobiling, boating and buying antiques in many of the small towns near our cabin. We enjoy the sounds of the loons when they call and watching/feeding the bald eagles that nest near our cabin.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2008

We built our cabin with the intent of enjoying the recreational activities with friends and family. The uniqueness and limited access to private land owners on the Flowage was one of our desires in owning a second home.

The fishing is excellent, we know and are friends with several great fishing guides on the lake so for a beer or two I can usually pry the information out of them. We routinely feed the bald eagles the fish remains after cleaning them, both in the summer and winter months. We have an ice shanty and can drive out on the lake to catch some nice Walleyes.

GREAT PLACE

  • 5 of 5
Despite have the trolling motor burn out on my boat and losing the lower unit on the other boat when they hit something we had a great week. The cabin is great and the grandkid had a blast canoeing and swimming off the dock. The only thing extra we would like to see as another refrigerator on the porch. With a big group the refrig in the kitchen isn't big enough. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us and we are booked for 2014.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review and we appreciate you coming out in 2014. The reason we don't have a refrigerator on the porch is that it is a safety hazard for small children that may try and get in there and accidentally have the door close on them.

When we are all out there with our family, we typically have several coolers with ice for all the drinks to be stored in. Another recommendation of ours is to get a Hot Spot map down-loaded either on your fish locator or hand held GPS to help you navigate the flowage area as there are a lot of stumps and rock bars.

We hope you have a good time at the cabin next summer and enjoy your stay.

BEAUTIFUL

  • 5 of 5
This was more than expected. The pictures are spot on with the exception that there is some steps to climb to get into the cabin. I think even my mother with double knee replacement could do them easily. It was very easy to find & our pontoon was waiting for us when we arrived. There is a slight incline from the lake to the property but was not horribly steep. Property was clean & yard was taken care of. I would definetly recommend this property to people. Went to Minocqua ate at Paul Bunyan, went to zoo & Holiday World (?) & rode go carts. Went to the casino. Did alot of fishing & caught 60 fish total in a week (catch & release). The deck in the morning was wonderful to listen to the loons & drink some coffee. Loved the screened in porch as all the fishing gear didn't need to come into the cabin, nice place to put it. Granddaughter took her battery operated motorcycle & was able to really have a ball on it, at home she has a backyard. Some used the canoe & went across the lake to the island to the right & then up the shoreline. Used the fire pit a couple nites & couldn't believe all the stars that were out. The only thing I would even have a concern about is if it was hot & humid like the weather we get down here an airconditioning system (central/window) would be nice to have. We had beautiful weather & had windows open all day. Loved it. All in all I was truly impressed with this property & would rent again.
