And then that summer heat to swim, bike, and lay in the sun. Private patio with sitting or hammock. All linens are provided.

Washer and Dryer are available, but are shared with family. We are happy to help you.
Although I advertised romantic because it is a special spot, I also am a parent of 3 grown children. I welcome families with children. It is ideal to have space to spread out and a separate bedroom for parents. I will provide games, DVDs, toys that are age appropriate given advance notice.
For the 3rd child/person I have a roll away bed, to set up in the living room near the convertible futon. It is so difficult to travel with 3 children in one room hotels I wanted to offer that to larger families.
The area is perfect for parents visiting college students as YOU get a home away from home. Close to the universities, but with room for your child to come visit and hang out and even stay over some nights. Dorm living can get tiresome and a trip to the country can be rejuvenating and relaxing for that student.
There are organic and regular grocery stores and excellent restaurants with 5 minutes of the house. The local factory outlets are also within 5 minutes.
$600/week with one half of the weekly rental required upon booking and the the other half required 2 weeks before arrival. There is a $300/damage deposit required with first deposit. This will not be used and will be returned upon inspection of the property after departure.
Keywords: Own Entrance to Apartment in the Country, But Near Major Vt City and Ski Areas.
Myself, husband and three children have lived at the house on this property for 20 years. It is a wonderful place to hang out. We are hikers, bikers, skiers, knitters, and avid readers. We are in the country, but close to the major Vt city of Burlington (20 minutes), UVM and Champlain College (20 minutes), St Michael's (15 minutes). We love going to all the local ski area. The two closest 16 miles away (Bolton and Smugglers Notch) and the others about 30-40 minutes (Sugarbush, Stowe, Jay Peak). We are excited to share our little corner of paradise with others.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 1994
Thank you for sharing this lovely space with us. It was so quiet! We loved that it was so easy to go visit so many places in Northern Vermont in just 20 minutes! A great jumping off point for us. We are sorry the leaves hadn't started to turn yet, we may have to travel back.
The hot tub under the stars was our favorite part. It is amazing how many stars there are when you step away from the major cities.
Thank you again. Can't wait to return.
My family and I enjoyed our stay. Nice setting. The in-law style apartment was cozy and clean. One recommendation - the kitchen could have use few more dishes. The hot tub was a good feature.
I am glad that someone else had to cancel this vacation rental so that we were able to get in :)
This is a nice, warm place, very serene and calm. The apartment was cozy and super clean, lots of towels and bed sheets. The furniture is eclectic and charming. The hot tub is pure heaven. Would recommend this for a group of 4 ppl. I will definitely like to rent this place when i visit Vermont again.
We recently stayed in this rental for four nights while attending a family wedding as well as pre and post wedding events. We chose the property because pets "were considered" and we were traveling with our dog. Of course, we are considerate pet owners and kept our dog crated when we could not be with him at the rental. The property is located on a nice rural road that was perfect for walking our dog. We did have a couple issues with our rental, however. We arrived at 3:30 and were surprised to find the property had not been cleaned after the previous rental. (We were later informed that check-in time is 4:00, but I could not find this in email correspondence.) We were able to reach the owner by phone, but she was 4 hours away. She did arrange for someone to come to clean the property, but that meant we had to find something to do for a couple hours when we were tired and ready to unwind after a 7 hour drive. We did not find the property to be as quiet as others have reported. The apartment adjoins the family's house. One night during our stay the family was quite loud until 1:00 am in the area of their house right next to the rental apartment and on the back deck just outside. The bedroom furnishings were nice...the bed was comfortable, although the top sheet had a large tear in it and I worried that the owner would think we had torn it. In the living area, the TV is good, but other furnishings are an assortment of what appear to be family leftovers, discards, etc. A couple things did not work too well...to get the light to come on in the living area (a fluorescent light in the ceiling) we had to stand on a chair and bang on the ceiling area with a broom handle. All in all, okay, but I doubt we would return.
My husband, myself and our dog stayed at Rebecca's lovely home. It was centrally located to the places we wanted to visit while on vacation - all of the following are a must: Vermont Quilt Festival, West Bolton Golf Club, Burlington, etc. I hate to say any more - lest I won't be able to get a reservation with Rebecca again!
This was a really quiet location to sleep & relax, too! The home is located on a street which is a great place to walk the dog. The place was really clean, too. The bed was quite comfortable.
Rebecca was quick to respond to our questions and gave us recommendations for restaurants, too.
We will definitely be back!
We stayed at Rebecca's guest apartment for about 10 days in September while looking at houses as we are planning to relocate to Vermont next year. One of the reasons we chose this place was that it's perfectly situation to make trips into the Burlington and surrounding areas and to the Montpelier/Stowe areas quickly, easily and through beautiful areas. We were more than happy we did. Rebecca is as friendly as can be, her place is quiet and surrounded by forest like vegetation. We had everything we needed to make breakfasts and travel lunches, while dining out at night. What she didn't have she provided immediately. Everything was clean, clean, clean...a huge deal for us. We are planning a trip back in April and have already booked our stay.
What a wonderfully quiet, clean, comfortable and private place to stay. It was a scenic drive to nearby Burlington/Essex Junction where we were able to eat at our favourite Thai restaurant and visit the outlet stores including the health food store. Our dog, Jake, enjoyed romping in the cornfield on our last morning. Rebecca, our hostess, was very welcoming and offered us good advice for the continuation of our journey to the east coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and definitely will return.
