This property was an unsanitary mess!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was very unhappy with the location.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
The property manager was very unhelpful.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

We found spider webs and accumulated dust on all the walls and corners of the house. Although there was evidence that they changed the sheets on some of the beds, the conformers and the pillows had not been washed in years. Both the pillows and comforters were full of animal hair, smelled of extreme body odor, and were spotted with obvious body fluids, including blood on some of the linen and pillows. The bathrooms were superficially wiped clean, but there were layers of dark dingy residue in the showers and sinks. We even found dried mucous in the upstairs sink. However, the most disturbing fact was that someone had vomited on the couch and instead of it being steam cleaned or at the very least wiped clean, the cushions were simply flipped over and the couch was sprayed with some sort of deodorizer. Because we were there during the week between xmas and new year, they were only able to offer us the option to move to other properties that were significantly smaller and could not accommodate all of our party. We found no other available properties in the area and because most of our party was composed of elderly couples that are not able to sleep on the floor, we were forced to stay in this property. Thus, we forced the management company to send new clean sheets, buy brand new pillows for all of us, and had the cleaning crew come back to clean the most offensive issues. Honestly, I would never recommend any properties handled by this management company as it is obvious that deep cleaning is not a priority and their standards are abysmal. Our entire group felt trapped and deeply disturbed during our entire stay. Despite these extreme offenses, they were only willing to reimburse us for the cleaning fees and we have still not been successful in getting even that small reimbursement. This is the first time that I wish the rating scale had a negative dimension. Instead of a rating of one, they deserve a rating of negative 5!
