Enjoyed the stay!!

We are a family of four that stayed in Divine View from Dec 22-29th, 2012. Overall, the stay was enjoyable. Very clean at check in and the kitchen had everything you might possibly need. Water pressure in the kitchen is very low - hard to rinse dishes.
Only one contact to management for an issue with the TV’s. One not turning off, one with big black line. They came that same day and fixed the lower level TV.
The rental company did not know the elevation of the cabin, but it’s the next to last one at the top of the hill. Our 4 cylinder vehicle traveled fine up and down the mountain using the manual setting on our dual transmission (traveling in 2nd gear up and down the majority of the mountain). The driveway for 3 cabins in a row is shared and tight, but we managed. We did not have to deal with any snow or ice.
This cabin was not very functional for a long term stay. There were two spiral staircases – one going to the top level and one going to the bottom level which are VERY spiral. The washer and dryer are on the top floor, so that required bringing clothes from the bottom floor all the way up to the top, and carrying them down again.
Lastly, all 3 bathrooms only had pedestal sinks in them. NO counter space in any of the bathrooms. We had 3 girls who do hair and make up daily and no where to put anything. The lighting was poor in all bathrooms except the upstairs one.
The dual fireplaces into the living/bedroom areas were wonderful! Air Hockey table was in working condition, but the air was not very strong. Pool table was completely functional. There was also a Jacuzzi tub right at the top of the stairs. Kind of a weird place for that.
Were told there would be no Christmas tree or decorations on this cabin, so we bought a small tree. There was a tree/decorations in one of the chests.
The last thing is the traffic/travel time between Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Not sure if it is year round, or holiday time, but it was awful. If you are going anywhere, give yourself 30 minutes longer than you need. We almost missed our zipline reservation because of the length of time it took us to get from our cabin to downtown Gatlinburg.
Overall, we were very pleased with our vacation, and I am still giving this cabin/vacation 4 stars as there was nothing actually wrong with the cabin – it just wasn’t as practical for our family for a long term stay as we would have liked.
