A nice cabin but you get what you pay for

I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was more than happy with the location.
The vacation rental was clean.
The property manager was more than helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

Cabin is in a nice location, albeit a bit out of the way. The pond should not even be mentioned in the description, it's very lame. Having said that, however, the scenery around the cabin in general is beautiful and peaceful and the drive from PF to the cabin is quite nice, too.
The two things about the cabin that struck me was the very meager stock of basic kitchen items; no mixing bowl of any type and only 5 plates, bowls, mugs, and silverware. It's frustrating to be constantly washing plates to use when on vacation. It would be much nicer to have enough stock for several meals since there is a dishwasher there. If the cabin indicates that it will accommodate 8 people, double that number in plates and silverware would make it great!
The jets in the tub shot out filthy rusty water. It could use a good cleaning and possible servicing. I'm not sure my kids came out of the tub any cleaner than they went in.
There were no outside lights available when we arrived. There are lights in place, but the switches for these lights are covered over inside and unavailable. A call to the rental office yielded a meager porch light on the side of the cabin that didn't even come on until we were already on the porch. Not helpful at all for getting from the car to the house on a washed out gullied driveway.
The size of the cabin was nice, 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A nice eat-in kitchen that is open to the living room area and overall, it was pretty clean with the exception of the jets in the tub.
