This home as about the best views you can get without parking yourself in a lifeguard's chair! Three bedrooms and two baths on the first floor, two bedrooms, one bath, and a large living area extending out onto a gorgeous deck made for lounging on the second floor. The 800 square foot deck has lounge chairs and tables with large beach umbrellas and makes for a perfect entertainment area.

Very importantly: We live here only a short distance from all our properties and are available 24/7 to take care of any problem or need that may arise.

A billboard coming into St Augustine advertises miles and miles of the most beautiful beaches in the world ... and the rest is history. We are the nation's oldest city, settled in 1565 by Spanish soldiers under Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles. No one should miss touring the historic district, walking down St George Street, seeing how King Phillip's soldiers lived in the Castillo de San Marcos or perhaps taking a carriage ride down cobblestone streets. The Flagler era has Henry Morrison Flagler's original three luxury hotels steeped in history as well as his Memorial Presbyterian Church, the finest example of Venetian Renaissance architecture in America.

The kids will love the Alligator Farm, the oldest attraction in the state of Florida and take then on the free boat ride out to Fort Matanzas, the back door fort that ended pirate raids in 1742. You are also only 10 minutes from Marineland and about 90 minutes from Mickey Mouse and/or the Space Center. If you get really bored (hard to imagine) call us for a boat ride in the magnificent harbor adorned with sail boats and the Bridge of Lions. Your host and local historian extraordinaire Gary Hartley might even give his personal insights for those brave souls who yearn for 'the rest of the story.

Atlantic View is a GREAT house. It was better than we expected-the pictures we saw beforehand did not do this house justice. The deck was unbelieveable--so much fun for everyone. The view was fabulous! The house is sooo roomy. The ground Floor will sleep 8 and the second floor can sleep at least another 6. Great place for two families to go together! Great walk to the beach which was totally beautiful. The pool was nice and you can even still sea the ocean from the ground floor. The kitchen had everything we needed--except I do recommend buying some plastic cups--everything in the house was glass. We definitely want to go back. The folks that rent the house are great and very willing to accomodate.

WE LOVE THIS HOUSE!!! My daughter was married in April and we rented the Atlantic View house to vacation with family and relatives from out of town. We had a blast. The deck is incredible and the view is spectacular. The Hartley's are splendid people. Oh yeah - we stayed in the Luxury Beach House last year and loved it also - beautiful house. We will be renting again next year - we can't wait!!!!

Our family had its first reunion at Atlantic View the week before Easter. We had 8 adults, 4 boys aged 6 to 12, 1 toddler, a baby, 1 cocker spaniel - and we never felt crowded! We set the boys' tent up on the deck some evenings and they were so excited to sleep outside! Finding the beds made when we arrived and soap and toilet paper in the bathrooms just took the edge off so we could relax right from the beginning and didn't feel that we had to race right out to the grocery store. We would definitely rent from the Hartleys again, we had a marvelous time!

My entire family (all 11 of us) enjoyed our stay at Atlantic View in March of 2006.
The location of the house is great, very close to the beach access walkway, a short drive from historical St. Augustine and with a second floor deck that is huge.
The deck was a great place to watch the sunrise, have a meal, or sit in the hot tub.
The kitchen was well stocked with dishes/cutlery and pots and pans. There were plenty of linens.
I coordinated the rental for the family and found dealing with Hartley and Sons a pleasure. They responded quickly to questions via email, and once we were there, were available to take care of minor repairs and with advice about where to find bike rentals, etc.
Overall, I had a great experience with this company, and would contact them first if I were to return to the St. Augustine area.
Thank you, Hartley and Sons for a great vacation!

We hosted a group of 16 golfers at four of the beach homes provided by Hartley and Sons Vacation Rentals. The Luxury Beach House was center stage, severing as our group meeting place, providing group dinners, etc. The Atlantic View property was situated just a block away and comfortably accommodatad our group. While we spent most of our week at golf courses in the area, the Atlantic View deck provided a nice view of the dunes and ocean.

Our group has been making this annual trip for 16 years. 13 to Hilton Head, 1 to Gulf Shores, 1 to Kiawha Island. This was by far the best outing. The Golf was fantastic and the weather perfect.

We played and would highly recommend the following courses:

LPGA Champions Course
WGV King & Bear
WGV Slammer & Squire
North Hampton
South Hampton
Matanza Woods (w/some reservations)
