Welcome to a magical get-a-way located in the Country Club. Imagine waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee on the patio breathing all that fresh air. Or how does an afternoon BBQ sound after a day of hiking, biking, shopping or golf? Downtown Flagstaff is only 5 minutes away. We are located an hour away from the Grand Canyon so you could take a quick day trip to one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This lovely home features 3 bedrooms - two with queen beds and the third bedroom has 2 twins. The fully equipped kitchen looks out into the family room where there is a lovely fireplace. The family room has an oversized queen sofa sleeper.

  • $200/night...$1200/week...$3800/month 2 Night Minimum
    $95 nonrefundable cleaning fee. A deposit of $200 is due at the time of the reservation to be applied towards the balance due 7 days prior to arrival. Credit cards will be charged for any missing or damaged property. Property is inspected prior to and after your stay. If cancellation occurs within 30 days of expected arrival, deposit will not be refunded unless owner can rebook entire reservation.
    Housekeeping services available midweek upon request for an additional fee.
    Check-in at 3pm. Check-out at 11am.

We stayed at this property for one week in late-June and a second week in late-July, 2005. It is unfair to refer to this property as a cabin. It actually is, and feels like, a small house.The house is comfortable, well maintained, and well furnished. The cathedral-ceilinged living area makes it seem larger than its 1400 sq. ft. The glass wall in the living room looks right at the San Francisco peaks, and the view is dramatic. The peak closest to you, on the left, is Agassiz Peak, at 12358 ft. elevation, the destination for the chair lift in the Snow Bowl ski area. Just to the left of Agassiz, and behind it, is Humphreys Peak, at 12633 ft, the highest point in Arizona. Both peaks tower almost 5000 ft above the house, at 7374 ft., giving a marvelous view. The house gives easy access to hikes of Slate Mountain, Red Mountain, and the Kachina trail on Mt. Agassiz. It is only a half-hour drive to Sunset Crated National Monument and Wupatki National Monument on the east side of the peaks. You can even take off on a trail that starts about 100 yards east of the house and takes you as far south as you want to go in the national forest. This is one of the best positioned vacation properties in the Flagstaff area.

Our family travelled to Flagstaff to visit our oldest son and we stayed here during the record breaking heat in July of 2005. We highly recommend this rental as a great value for the money because of the quality of the facility and the close location to so many great sites. The cabin, while a modest size, was very clean, the beds were comfortable and all the new furniture and amenities looked new enough that we could not tell if they had been used before. While the cabin got warm during the 95-plus degree days while we toured around (IT WAS A DRY HEAT), it quickly cooled off at night to a temperature comfortable to us New Englanders. Access to the house is a mile-long, straight, wide, well maintained dirt road along an open field now filling in with new houses. There are horses next door, so expect to smell them occasionally (we didn't mind).
The location across the street from Snowbowl gives a fantastic close up view of the San Fransisco peaks. It's a great spot for the winter, but it also meant that we were only 10 minutes from downtown Flagstaff, and within two hours of the many beautiful sites we visited in a week - Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Painted Desert, Sunset Crater, Wupatki Pueblo Ruins, Walnut Canyon Cliff Dwellings, Sedona, Jerome, Lake Mary, and couple of hidden swimming holes I won't disclose. If my son stays in Flagstaff we will be back to rent here again.
