Come visit the World Class Resort Municipality of Whistler (Home of the 2010 Olympic Games!) and plan your accommodation at our owner-direct 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom vacation rental townhouse located on the side of Blackcomb Mountain next to the Four Seasons Hotel.
We're just minutes away from the ski lifts and Whistler Village. Choose to walk or take the complementary village shuttle to the lifts. Ski in right to the door.
The townhouse sleeps 4 people privately, or 6 people shared. It has a well-stocked kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and cooking utensils. The living room has a real wood burning fireplace and the main bathroom has a large soaker tub that is perfect for relaxing in after a long day golfing, skiing or hiking. There is also storage for skis/snowboards and bikes inside the unit.
Complementary secured underground parking and Wi-Fi is included in the rental fee.

This is a nice, very clean, 2BR condo. We are accustomed to sharing a larger house with another family, so to us it felt a bit small -- but it's probably a typical size for a 2BR condo.
There are walking paths to Blackcomb base, which we did use; even carrying/wearing all of your equipment, it's not a bad walk, 10-15 minutes mostly on a tree-lined walking path, with a short bit along a street. If you don't want to walk, the free BCTransit bus stops in front of the development's driveway; it runs quite often and can take you to Blackcomb base and the village proper. The free underground parking is secure, and though the spaces are small, we parked our rented Escalade there -- just maneuver carefully.
The vestibule has a hanging ski rack and more than enough space to stow all your equipment, even your luggage, while you're there. You can probably fit a bike in there in the summer, too.
Check-in was a problem for us, but the property mgmt company finally straightened it out. The owner followed up as rapidly as she could and went out of her way to "make it right". She is a lovely person to speak with; if you have questions before or during your stay, you won't feel like you're being a nuisance by contacting her.
Small quibble: A few of the things that we've come to expect in kitchens were absent -- salt/pepper, coffee filters, foil, containers with lids for leftovers... admittedly, that's not a big deal, but it did surprise us.
Nice showers, lots of blankets, comfy beds, good pillows. The bunk beds are a little lightweight, the kind built more for younger children, so if you have an older, taller, bigger person in the top bunk, it can sway a bit. That said, our two kids (boy and girl) were very happy that the "kid room" had completely separate beds so that they each had their own areas.
The owner provides the special logs that you need to make a fire; the little stove doesn't give off a lot of heat (which is a good thing in a small space) and gives a cozy feel to the room.
When we were there (early April), snow had abandoned the bottom third of the mountains. We saw many people who probably paid a ton of money for ski-in, ski-out properties that were surrounded by bare grass. Watching them walk a long way to their properties left us feeling fiscally happy: even though we were walking 10-15 minutes, we knew that we had paid far less than they did and we had just as much convenience to the lifts.
This was a great place for my three friends and me (we drew straws for the awesome master bedroom upstairs). Check-in was very easy (though the code we were given at first didn't work for the door). Underground parking is great and convenient, but the garage is pretty tight so you need to be careful when driving down there. I loved the fireplace and the logs that were provided! The condo is a little further from the slopes than I would have liked, but you can definitely ski in if there's enough snow (it's about a 10-15 minute walk in the morning to the Blackcomb lifts). There's also a bus right across the street, but we didn't take it.
Only con would be the extremely limited cable channel selection, but hey, when you're on a ski vacation, hopefully you aren't watching a lot of TV.
Worked perfectly for our 2 adults and 4 (responsible) teens. Check in and check out was very well done by the agent for the property. Convenient location, walking distance to Blackcomb base (but probably not in ski boots) and free bus is about 150 yards from the front door. Limited condiments provided. Appears more like a standard rental than a home (but we've been spoiled by another unit we've used before.) Owner is very helpful and available throughout the process.
We stayed at the Snowberry April 4 to 8 2013. The place was big enough for us with our 3 year old and our 2 friends with their 4 year old. It was very easy and convenient to book with the owner and a very easy and quick check in. The place was clean and had all the amenities that we needed for our stay. Good location that you could walk down to the village or you could jump on the free bus transportation that ran quite frequently. In my own personal opinion the place could use a little updating especially the window coverings in the main floor bedroom. They are pretty scarce and there is a light that shines from outside right into the room while you are sleeping. Other then that that is my only real complaint on this place. I would not hesitate to book the Snowberry for our next stay.
Nice location, nice place
