In addition to Union Jack's classic Nantucket style, its location can't be beat. The property is a few short blocks to Main St where you will find shopping, restaurants, art galleries, a movie theatre, library, musuem, the boat basin, and both grocery & liquor stores. Best of all, Union Jack offers a spectacular water view from the widows walk, a private side yard, a rear patio, and 3 off-street parking spaces so you can enjoy the beach by day and town by night (without the parking hassle)! Year round island resident Darcy Creech acquired the house in March 2012 and named the property ‘Union Jack’ after its location on Union St., her father and business partner Jack, and the U.S. Union Jack (the navy blue flag with 50 white stars that is flown off the bow of U.S. Coast Guard vessels). A single mother of two and successful entrepreneur, Darcy is the founder of Peter Beaton Hat Studio, Hydrex Philanthropic, Nantucket Wheelers, the N Charity logo, & Pay It Forward Worldwide.
Union Jack is a classic Nantucket Whaling Captains home that has been lovingly and classically restored, and designed to provide you and your loved ones with an outstanding setting for experiencing the 'old school' Nantucket lifestyle and making memories that will last a lifetime.
A portion of your funds will be used to fund Nantucket Wheelers, a wheelchair biking initiative founded by Darcy Creech, that 'reconnects Nantucket's '4th Quartarians with the great outdoors and the community at large.' Darcy's motto? 'We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give.'
We pray that God blesses this house and every person who walks through its doors more than they could have ever asked or imagined. Thank you for choosing to stay at Union Jack. We truly appreciate your patronage.
