Union Jack is such a great house! It would be a terrific "staging ground" for a family gathering--there are so many living spaces--or a great rental for two families with kids who could share the twin room and the upstairs pull-out couch. We have rented 12 houses in the 21 years we've been visiting Nantucket, so we are experienced consumers. You have a terrific house, and you've done amazing things with it.

We loved the pineapple-themed wallpaper in the entry hall. I wonder who else will know that sea captains displayed pineapples when the returned from away, to welcome visitors? It just made us smile to walk in and see the pineapples, with the captain's bust (I'm assuming it was a captain) and instruments. The furniture and beds were really comfortable. I'm going to get a matelassé bedspread, we liked yours so much! The location of Union Jack makes it easy to get to many places: the boys biked out to Cisco and Eel Point--you go around behind most of the town traffic, which is a plus. We also had an easy car trip to the Observatory for Open Telescope Night, and an adventure all the way to the end of Coatue (we have the TTOR sticker). And Dave walked to the Downyflake! It was great to be so close to everything (in town and out), while still having a feeling of privacy. Thank you for a delightful week!
