All rooms completely furnished condo-type apartment with private laundry has two spacious bedrooms (12/12) each with a double bed, (when necessary, a small bed could be brought into the room) dressing table, night stand with lamp & adequate floor space. A full size kitchen has cooking and dining amenities and large counter space. From the patio the view of the village, ocean and Jos Van Dyke is spectacular. The bulding is perched high enough on a hill to provide a beautiful view of the ocean, yet only a three-minute walk to a white sand beach. The dining area, livingroom and patio can entertain in excess of a dozen people. This unit provides privacy and an adequate amount of space. The open floor plan and high ceiling rooms contribute to the feeling of spaciousness, and the lush front yard flower garden provides natural beauty and an environment of coziness. The building is located in a private area away from noise and commercial activites, yet close enough to provide quick accessibility. There is adequate amount of private parking for tenants and guests. There is also adequate outside space to barbecue. A spectacular nature trail is nestled in a serene, rest-conducive atmosphere just behind the condo where one can decide to climb the large rocks or just walk the trail. Also within walking distance are:supermarket,bar, church, dining and night entertainments. The backyard that sits between the building and the entrance to the nature trail is used for parking, grilling. When it becomes necessary, the car is parked outside of the stand-alone car port and the space is used for outside activities. (we have extra tables and chairs for such activities) There are no close neighbors, therefore, neighborhood noise is never a problem. The property is fenced, thus, it affords protection and privacy, coupled with natural beauty.

About Maude Jacobs

I was born in the BVI I grew up in the USVI and was educated there. I earned degrees in education, counseling and psychology. I spent sixteen years teaching elementary school in the USVI, after which I spent fourteen years counseling in the same school system. I also maintained a small private practice during this time. My last thr5ee years working with the USVI Education Department, was spent Counseling troubled teenagers. I am now retired after working 30 years with the USVI Dept. of Education. I now spend time on both the US and BVI . I own the entire building with it's four condos and the 1.12 acre of land on which the building sits. I love the area very much , thus I have reserved a condo for personal use, when I am in the BVI. I enjoy this place just as much as my guests. Although I no longer climb the rocks on my private nature trail. I love to spend time in the quietness of the area. After a solid rain, I love to look at the little waterfall, and hear the sound of the water gushing over the huge rocks. The sight and sound of the water is just heavenly. I have also developed a love for the outdoors. My front yard flower garden always seems to be asking for my care, and taking care of it has become a part of my enjoyments.

Why Maude Jacobs chose Tortola

I own a relatively nice home in the United States Virgin Islands where I live, but this property in the British Virgin Islands provides a personal quiet restful atmosphere, yet it is close to an active area. I have the best of all worlds: quietness, view of the ocean, nature trail, white sand beach and a local entetainnment area. The ambiance and difficult to measure accompanying feelings of this place is not easy to verbalize. The looks of the building might be ordinary, but the feeling of the atmosphere is extraordinary. Although I own this property and come quite often, I enjoy it immensely, and I love sharing it with others. Doing business on this island is not easy. Everything is expensive, but I try to keep my rates low to try to make it easier for people to visit and enjoy it with me. I marvel at great architecture and of the wisdom and creativity of those who build them, but I love and enjoy nature in its truest sense. I experience nature from this property, and I love to share anything that I enjoy.

What makes this condo unique

I was fortunate to have the privilege of having my bulding designed to my likeness. I love to sit on my patio and look at the ocean, the beautiful sunsets, the island in the distance, the yachts and boats in the harbor and the many buildings on the hill across from the property. I love nature; I love the feeling of serenity as I sit in the area of only trees, plants and sounds of birds. I also enjoy the feeling of adventure as I climbed the gigantic rocks, and after a rain, I love the sound of the water rushing over the rocks, and the sight of the waterfall. My nature trail provides me with all this. I also love to walk at the edge of the water on the beach and feel the wet sand between my toes. I love to visit the beach during the hours or days when it is not crowded.. This property is located in the middle of the island. It is therefore not very far from anything. It is about a fifteen minute drive to the town, and not much father away from anything else. Both taxi and car rentals are quite accessible. Although KFC is nowhere to be seen, fine dining is available, and 'Happy Hours' are present for those who need them. There is beauty and pleasure for the taste bud of almost everyone. Quite a few couples choose to be married on Cane Garden Bay Beach. The beauty of the place, and the accessibility to good dining makes this a good decision. Whether a person likes serenity, sight seeing on an island, night entertainment, sea-type entertainments, or whatever, this property could be the springboard from which to jump to their preferred activity.

A ferry ride from the British Virgin Islands to the US Virgin Islands takes less than one hour. People like to take day rides between islands. In May of of each year Cane Garden Bay has a Memorial Day weekend Music Festival. Performers are brought in, and people from the BVI and the USVI enjoy the festivity.
