Only the Ground Floor units offer tall 11' ceilings, oversized lanai's, and very quick and easy access in and out (from the Lanai or condo door) ... no elevators needed. The lanai opens up to lush lawns & walkways with views of the mountain and resort and it has a private relaxing Koi pond off the lanai. I grew up and we currently live in Seattle, WA. My wife grew up in the Czech Republic. We have 2 little ones. A beautiful 1 year old girl and a handsome 3 year old boy. Our favorite getaway spot is Maui and Honua Kai.

We love Maui and after staying at Honua Kai for the first time in 2009, we feel in love with this place. Having a young family of our own, we have always struggled to find a nice condo with all the amenities we were looking for. Honua Kai was that place. We purchased this unit first off because it was a ground floor unit, which in our opinion is the absolute best for children. It has quick and easy access to the outside, the pool, and everything else. It has its own Koi pond which our kids love.. and is right next to the Gym, so theres no excuses. We just love this place.

We have a terrific stay at condo. The owner Brandon was extremly helpful. His welcome packet is very detailed and has great information. The condo is very nice and excat as promised. Monty the property manager was there upon our arrival. Snorkeling right of the beach of the resort excellent. DT Fleeming Beach is also great and is just 10 mintues away. Lots of turtles eat the algea on the rocks on the right side and come in around 2pm every day. Waring the new resturant Slappy cakes opened Monday June 4th wasn't the greatest abit pricey for breakfast espically since you grill your own pancakes at the table (8 bucks for 8oz of batter, 12 to 20 for any breakdish, drinks 3.50 to 4.50) Bradon the owner has recommedation for Sunday bruch which is fablous.

A Fantastic Holiday Location

A large group of us came to Maui for a family reunion of sorts and Honua Kai was the perfect location for our gathering. The unit was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Actually, the pictures really don't do it justice. The unit was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Having a ground floor unit was perfect since there were several groups of us staying at the resort and it made it much easier for visiting and access from the pools and beach. The grounds of Honua Kai are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Brandon was great in answering our questions prior to arrival and Monty was extremely friendly and helpful when we arrived.

We have rented many properties through VRBO over the years and this was the most detailed and extensive welcome package we've ever received. There was so much detail and information included.

We really enjoyed exploring the island, particularly Haleakala, the town of Paia and the Nakalele Blowholes. If you venture north to the blowholes, continue on towards the little village called Kahakuloa (home of Julia's Best Banana Bread!). A word of warning, the road turns into a one lane, very narrow, cliff-hugging journey but the views are incredible.The Flatbread Company restaurant in Paia serves awesome flatbread pizza for very reasonable prices. Also, for women, there's a clothing store called Mahina in Paia and Lahaina that has great clothing at very affordable prices. Lahaina was fun to explore on a cloudy morning and the burgers at Cool Cat Cafe are huge and really good.

We had booked the 'Old Lahaina Luau' but unfortunately that was the one night that it poured rain and they had to cancel it. I've heard that it's the luau to go to so we'll try and do that next time.

We would definitely come back here to stay and would recommend this property to friends. I can't wait for our next visit!

Great Honua Kai Unit !!!!

The unit was the perfect size unit for our family of 4. It was very nice to be on the ground floor thus having easy access to the resort's pools, beach and Duke's restaurant. The unit's kitchen had everything necessary for making meals and barbecuing at the resort's barbecue area. Having the beach cooler, beach chairs, beach umbrella and boogie boards was a definite plus. The unit was very clean and well maintained. Sitting out on the lanai and eating papaya and tako poke (yes, it is true) for breakfast and enjoying the mauka view couldn't be beat. Brandon, the owner of the unit, provides his guests with an information package which was a nice touch. He makes sure that his guests know that he is available if there are any concerns at all. He also has his property manager (Monty) who is readily available as well. I would definitely recommend this unit to friends and relatives.

Great Stay!

My family and I stayed at Brandon's Condo for spring break and we all had a wonderful time. The condo was the perfect size and in excellent condition. It is located on the ground floor and very close to the pool and excercise facility. Brandon was very accomodating to our unique travel needs and we couldn't have been happier. My wife and children can't wait until next year!

Amazing Stay at Honua Kai!

A friend and I were going to be in Kaanapali for just two nights and were looking for a condo to rent, rather than paying for a pricey hotel. Problem was, most condo rentals were looking to rent for a week. I emailed the owner (Brandon) on the off chance these dates were available and he'd be willing to rent to us. Lo and behold, they were and he was. From that initial interaction, I was confident our stay at Honua Kai would be stellar. Brandon was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. And after a week's stay at a run-down house on the North Shore of Oahu, my friend and I couldn't believe our luck when we arrived at Honua Kai. The resort itself is stunning. But the condo is GORGEOUS. Beautifully decorated, high end, super clean, luxurious and all around perfect for a few days living the high life. We didn't want to leave!

When we arrived we were met by Monty, the property manager who helped us get settled and even provided us with the number of a masseuse willing to make condo calls. My friend and I both enjoyed massages on the lanai surrounded by the beautiful grounds.

Everything about our stay was top notch. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
