QUAINT & COMFORTABLE BETHANY BEACH COTTAGE HOME

We stayed at the cottage with our 6 year old twins and 2 dogs. Everyone was instantly at home when we opened the door. The pictures on the site are great but it is even nicer when you see it in person. We loved that the neighborhood was close enough to the beach to take a short drive or a longer bike ride. Everyone in the area was friendly and we really enjoyed spending time at the community pool. The outside shower was really helpful as we were able to really rinse off any sand and dry off before heading inside.We also liked that there was a grill so we could balance nights out for dinner with nights eating at home. The back deck is really lovely and we enjoyed quite time there in the morning, reading and sipping coffee. The great thing about the back deck is that there is a completely screened area (absolutely no bugs) and an open area for sunbathing (still practically no bugs). The backyard is small but filled with frogs which my kids thought was awesome. The little fenced in area at the bottom of the stairs was a nice way to let the dogs have a little space to stretch their legs and they also enjoyed sitting on the front porch. If you are reading this and planning a stay, there is a really nice book on the coffee table or in one of the drawers that is hardcovered and gives a lot of history about the area. Great resource so take a look on one of the first nights there. We would highly recommend this area and particularly this cottage to anyone interested in visiting the Bethany and Fenwick area.

We just returned from a week at this wonderful property and it was exactly as described - only better! I just read the post from the folks who visited prior to us and was frankly shocked, it was IMPECCABLY clean when we arrived. So clean in fact that I was a little paranoid about the amount of dog hair my large breeds - one white and one black! - would leave behind so used the vacuum to do my best to bring it back to the state it was in when we arrived. Furniture was nice and comfy - not something I am used to when staying in a pet friendly unit. My husband and I along with our two large dogs were very comfortable. My parents spent a night on their way to OCMD so 4 adults and two large pets can be comfortable but they WERE only there one night so after a week I might feel differently. Neighborhood was great. Quiet and peaceful,. Lots of fellow dog lovers. Close to everything. Spent time in Ocean City as well as Fenwick and Bethany. Great park preservation area nearby that is pet friendly. The Yuppy Puppy on the Boardwalk in Bethany is a great place to get your furry friend a treat. If I have anything on the negative side to say it would be that I was bummed the fenced in area was stone and not grass. One of my dogs was not a fan of walking on it so didn't spend much time in the yard. She is deaf and our yard is not fenced so I was looking forward to letting her free safely as she is always on a leash outside. Totally makes sense to NOT have grass but I wasn't expecting stone so just a heads up to other renters with finicky dogs. They did enjoy spending time on the front deck and back patio and exploring the neighborhood so still an excellent choice for those with pets! I would stay here again anytime and would love to visit in the off season. Renting was also trouble free and Kathy was great to work with throughout. Stay here if you want a nice, modern and convenient rental that doesn't ! discriminate against your furry family members. :)

Location: Perfect for us-only a seven minute drive to the beach.
Neighborhood: Perfect-everyone was extremely friendly. Pool is wonderful and close to the house. Very safe area.
Cleanliness: Less than average. That's the only reason we gave an overall rating of good. We understand it is pet friendly, but there were hair balls all over the living room and this was even after the "cleaning service" people cleaned the house (they showed up while we were unpacking on the day we arrived) for twenty minutes.
