Villa Niky, an elegant rustico built into the rock on an incline, is the guest house of a Roman architect. On the edge of the forest, at the end of a small cul-de-sac, stands the guest house with its own fenced property, which cannot be looked into by the owner. From the curved roofed terrace in front of the house and from the sun deck in the garden you are presented breathtaking views. The airy holiday home with high ceilings offers two bedrooms (a double bed and a bunk bed), a kitchen-cum-living room and a bathroom with shower/WC/bidet. The kitchen-cum-living room with wooden ceiling beams is divided into a living corner with stone sofa and a dining corner with built-in kitchen. In the dining corner at the open fireside the natural rock has been conscientiously integrated into the room by the architect. Below the roofed terrace and only accessible through a separate exterior entrance, there is another double bedroom (5th and 6th person) with bathroom (shower/WC/bidet).

Hiking tip: Directly from the house you may hike to the medieval mountain village of San Giovanni à Piro. The dreamy coastal village of Scario is the jewel at the southern-most end of the Cilento. The ancient Greeks were already drawn to Scario by its unique site and the mild climate (Greek: Skariòs). The authentic fishing village touches the maritime wildlife park Infreschi – which reaches up to Marina di Camerota – on the one side. Boats (information: “Bar Toni”) take you to the many picturesque bays of the maritime wildlife park within a few minutes. On the other side, Scario lies on the edge of the Gulf of Policastro. You will enjoy the amazing panoramic view into the wide bay of the Gulf and towards the mountains of Basilicata and Calabria, which seem to rise directly from the sea. On days of clear visibility you are able to see the famous statue of Christ in Maratea. The beautiful church with its separate bell tower – a campanile – is to be found on the main piazza of Scario.

Beeindruckt war Fam. Ch. Jahns aus Stockelsdorf von den 'Terrassen mit dem schönen Panorama auf Golf v. Policastro' (Villa Niky, Okt. 2005). *** Auch R. Mader aus Elmstein gefiel die Villa Niky als 'sehr schönes Haus mit gigantischem Meerblick.' (Villa Niky, Sep. 2005) *** 'Unübertreffliche Lage, mediterraner Stil, sehr bemühte Vermieter; selbst der Blick aus dem Küchenfenster war Lebenslust spendend schön!', so das Fazit von Fam. Wagener aus Ballenstedt (Villa Niky, Mai 2004). *** Ein Tipp für Genießer von A. u. H. Klukkert aus Bad Ems: 'Das Ristorante ‚Incontro’ in Scario am Hafen ist unbedingt empfehlenswert! Das Essen ist super lecker und frisch, vor allem die Fisch- und Frutti-di-Mare-Gerichte!' (Villa Niky, Sep. 2004).
