Cozy Wilderness Themed Lake Front Cottage

The lower level has an open floor plan, again boasting wild game mounts of pheasant, turkey, bear rug, beaver and mounted bear, between the living room and the kitchen/ dining area.

Over the “Amish made” log dining table is an antler chandelier to illuminate your evening card games; after you have spent a good part of the evening near the fire pit - out by the lake.

Two of 3 bedrooms are down stairs and have separate themes. The master bed room has a queen log bed with log end tables and a log dresser, the second bedroom we call the fish room. As the name demonstrates the second bedroom room is all about fishing (with another queen size bed). To get to the third bedroom (upper level loft) you will need to take the handcrafted log spiral stair case my husband built from cedar trees from a family farm. The beauty of this staircase certainly is a vocal point of our cottage. The upper level bedroom has two twin beds and a full size futon for sleeping.

All of this sits on a small lake in Lapeer County- Potter Lake. Our family is very busy with College and jobs so we are opening up our cabin for you to create wonderful lasting memories with your family and friends. With the weekly rental of our cottage we are including the use of the two kayaks (with paddles), paddle boat and the use of our large dock. Of course there are life jackets and outdoor furniture to be used as with any water property close attention to children is required (inside and out).
