About AJ Meade

Our family is from Connecticut but has been spending summers in Milbridge, ME for three generations since the early 1900's.

Why AJ Meade chose Milbridge

This property is 1/2 mile from my fathers home and within 2 miles of the town center. There are beautiful views across the bay to the old church steeple, the bridges crossing the Narraguagus river and exceptional sunsets. Looking out to open water you can see past beautiful Islands to the open Atlantic.

What makes this house unique

Close to town for convenient groceries, eatting out at 44 North, Milbridge House, Fisherman's Wife or Joshy's. Joshy's is also the kids favorite place for ice cream and fried clams.

Bar Harbor is a beautiful 45 minutes ride, 25 to Schoodic Park, Campabello Island, Canada with President Roosevelts summer cottage under an hour away. Quebec City is 6 hours...stop at Moosehead lake on the way 3.5 hrs. McClellan's park 10 minutes, Spring River Lake for swimming 10 minutes, Blueberry barrens and Cherryfield 20 minutes, Machias and Lubec 40 to 50 minutes. Rogues bluff, Jasper beach 35 minutes too many things to do and see for one trip. Harrington Medical Center 10 minutes. Island exploring
