Harbor Springs Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Cheerful warm condo with bright natural light and high (11') ceilings. We welcome guests with wine (your choice at Gurney's Bottle Shop across the street), egyptian linens (professionally cleaned and pressed), and an authentic downtown Harbor Springs location.

Please note that during the Summer Season, there is a minimum stay rule of 7 days, arriving/departing on Saturdays. Occasionally, odd days will be available but never less than 2 days.

Top floor of the historic bank building on Main Street. Elegant styling. Comfortable Living. Very Hi-Speed WiFi.

Remodeled and re-furnished in 2010. This 1500 sq. ft. condo is 1 of 4 privately owned apartments in this 125 year-old town hub, commercial building.

Located in the center of downtown, the apartment is ideally located across Bay Street from Little Traverse Bay (view, however, is onto Main Street), with restaurants and shopping at your doorstep.

Aficionados of the area, know there are romantic, elegant and secret places all around Harbor Springs.

After a vigorous day of boating (or skiing), swimming, hiking, (snow-shoeing),biking, golfing, tennis (at the waterfront, with lights for night play), shooting skeet (seriously) or whatever in the playlands of Emmet County, why not head for downtown civilization?

Relax with wine in front of the fireplace, while watching High Definition TV or playing cards & Monopoly in your Main Street apartment. After your full day, come home to covered parking and an elevator ride to your 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo. Enjoy excellent dining, bountiful shopping, antiquing and museums all within 2 blocks. Walk along the Little Traverse Bay. Take in the amazing starry night sky and hope for a display of Northern Lights. Look forward to a relaxing evening. Prepare dinner at home in the unusually well-equipped kitchen or simply take the elevator down to street for surprisingly delightful restaurants. Don't forget to visit the museums and other shops.

Need a baby-sitter? Pre-arrival refrigerator stock-up? Airport pick-up? Movies? Ski rentals? Cross country trails? Etc., etc. - Just let me know and we can fulfill most requests.

My family has 'summered' in Harbor Springs since 1923, and we would not miss a single year. As our guest, you will have the unique opportunity to share in the warmth of the community and the loveliness of the Summer (and Winter) season in Northern Michigan.

About SANDFORD BOYCE

My family has lived in Harbor Springs for nearly 100 years. I know this area well and have put many of my favorite places and activities on the map for you to enjoy.

SANDFORD BOYCE purchased this condo in 2010

Why SANDFORD BOYCE chose Harbor Springs

My Grandmother spent the summer of 1923 in Northern Michigan because she had a very sick infant who needed fresh air and cool nights. The doctor had told Granny that her son might not make it thru the hot, pollen-laden summer heat of Louisville. Granny was so pleased with the climate and her child's return to health, that she bought a cottage that year and spent every summer in Harbor Springs until she died in 1983. My mother who was a teacher carried on the tradition.

What makes this condo unique

1)Harbor Springs is charming and full of interesting shops and places to visit.

2) Reserved covered parking

3) Elevator from ground parking area to the 3rd. floor apartment.

4) across street from Gurney's Liquors!

5) 6 restaurants-Stafford's Pier;New York, Turkeys Cafe-pizza;Cornichous Two- omelets;Harbor Bar-great burgers;Chart Room-fish; all within 2 block area!!

6) Did I mention the Fudge Shop and Ice Cream Store next to the Liquor Store? Across Main St.

7) Try 'Wooly Bugger' for newspaper and coffee.

8) Free WiFi in apartment.

Wonderful home away from home!

This was such a lovely place to stay. I loved the 360 degree views, looking at the tops of
trees, beautiful in color, and looking below at the quaint village and Main Street, even at night.
I had 2 guests join me for a few days, and they enjoyed it also - especially the private room
and bath. Everything was top-notch, down to the towels and bathrobes and huge washer
and dryer. The owner has done a wonderful job of making this a very comfortable pied de terre!

Harbor Springs heaven

  • 4 of 5
First of all, it's a beautiful condo located in a wonderful area, both in town and looking over the marina. Nice rooms, great sheets and nicely furnished. The main inconvenience was the wireless. I had work to do and it was unreliable at best. We had to be at home for someone from the cable company to come by and that didn't help matters. Second, there was a miscommunication on a cleaning midway through our stay and the person who came (causing me to leave) didn't actually do the work throughly. Another cleaner came which was good but meant leaving again. The number of times we had to speak with the homeowner was unfortunate.

Great location, lovely apartment!

  • 5 of 5
Our family of 3 spent four days in Harbor Springs at this lovely apartment. The owner was more than attentive, both before and after our visit, making sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The apartment is prettier in person than it is in the pictures and the views from the large windows are spectacular--glimpses of both the bay and the bluffs, along with some great views of the downtown shops. The weather was cool and overcast during our stay, so we didn't get to use the beach at all, but it would have been a very quick walk to it from the building. Great restaurants, shops, ice cream places are all a quick walk away. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Excellent accommodations

  • 5 of 5
Great location, well equipped, beautiful decor and very accessible year round. Had to make same day arrangements as our other plans fell through when we couldn't get up the steep road because of the snow. Owner was very helpful and responsive. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly and the free bottle of wine is a nice touch! Highly recommended

Cozy, large 2 bedroom in great downtown location

  • 4 of 5
A group of 4 of us visited Sandy's place for a weekend getaway in early March. First impressions were great - cozy fireplace, comfy robes, long wooden dining table perfect for family dinners, open layout and multiple windows with gorgeous views of the water, downtown and houses on the bluff. It was very clean, smelled nice and temperature inside was just perfect. We were very surprised at how quiet the downtown area was, especially during the best ski season in Michigan history. It was sad that many businesses were closed for the winter, and there were not many people in town. But the basics were still covered - a great coffee shop and a wine and sandwich shop (yum!) were directly across the street and there is an IGA store just up the hill. And less than 20 minute drive to Nub's Nob! I can only imagine how fun and perfect this location would be in summer.

The only thing that could make this place even better is to better stock the kitchen with baking and cooking supplies. We had to improvise with baking because there were no oven dishes, there were limited number of pots for cooking dinner and unfortunately they don't stock a blender (and we really wanted to make hummers!)...but if you know in advance, it's easier to plan around.

Owner's Response: Did buy the Blender, so plan on mixing up your Margaritas and "Summer Hummers." However,as far as there being an ill-equipped kitchen, Please see photo #15. Kitchen is supplied with: 5 sauté and frying pans, 5 sauce and cooking pots, large steamer pot, cutting boards, toaster, food processor, electric waffle grill, coffee grinder & maker, electric tea pot, 4 baking sheets, 2 broiling pans, mixing bowls, measuring cup, plastic bags, plastic wrap , aluminum foil and too many utensils to mention. Also, I provide a limited number of spices, popcorn & oil, coffee beans, flour, oil and some other usable foodstuffs. May I add that there a barbecue tools in case you want to use the public grills located lakeside at Ford Park which is 2 blocks to the East.
