Malinska is located in a bay with woods, in the western part of the Island Krk, the largest Croatian Island, which is connected to the mainland through a bridge. The Austrian heir to the throne, Rudolf von Habsburg, discovered Malinska in 1885, as it has the best climate on the entire island.
