Hughes Retreat Condominiums - Unit #303. Pet Friendly, Wireless Internet, Washer/Dryer/ This is a 3rd floor condo in Kill Devil Hills, built in 2005 across the street from the beach. Public beach access is north & south (w/parking) of Hughes. Nice views of the ocean from the deck as you relax in our rocking chairs in the cool breeze. The interior is decorated in beach themes & pastels with every amenity you would need in the full kitchen. Two bedrooms each have a king size bed and the third bedroom has a pyramid bed (sleeps two on the bottom and one on the top plus a trundle bed pulls out from underneath). If the pyramid bed is not for you, then pull out the queen size sleep sofa in the living room and make yourself more comfortable. Each bedroom has its own Cable TV and another Cable TV with DVD/VCR player is in the living area, along with a stereo AM/FM/DVD player. There is an elevator so you can go up to the 3rd floor easily. Pool (20'x30') available & 2 covered parking spaces

Located in Kill Devil Hills near Milepost 10, and Nags Head. The beach is located directly across the street behind the Quality Inn. A short walk down the driveway to Beach Rd., cross the street, and head for the beach. If you like a pool, there is one located on the property directly behind the building. It is fenced in and there are lounging chairs available. We also have chairs and other beach items located in our storage room on the ground floor under the carport. Grocery stores, drugstores and shopping are within walking distance as well as fast food restaurants. We are located between two very nice restaurants, Kill Devil Diner and The Flying Fish, also within walking distance. The Public Boat Ramp is available on Bay Drive for Soundside use. **Currituck Lighthouse at the northern end of Rt. 12, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Hatteras Island Lighthouse and Ocracoke Island Lighthouse can be visited in nice day trips. Ride the Free car ferry from Hatteras Island to Ocracoke Island.

  • In each bedroom a cable TV is mounted on the wall and is accessible with/a remote control. **The Sailboat Room (Master Bedroom) is very spacious and has a king size bed, 2 bedside tables w/lamps on each table, and one dresser. The Lighthouse bathroom adjoins this room and is very private. This bedroom is also very private because it is at the end of the condo away from the other 2 bedrooms. **The Hawaiian Room (2nd bedroom) has a king size bed, 1 bedside table w/lamp and one dresser. This bedroom is located at the other end of the condo next to the front door of the condo. **The 3rd bedroom (which has a beach theme) is located next to the Hawaiian Room. This bedroom has a pyramid bed w/trundle. It is like a bunk bed, with a single bed on top, a double bed on the bottom, and a single trundle bed that stores underneath the beds and can be rolled out to use. **The Fish Bathroom (2nd bath) is located across the hall from bedroom #2 & #3. Both bathrooms have a complete tub w/shower.

Pet Friendly: We welcome Pets!! In fact, we have a little black lab! There is a non-refundable pet fee of $100 charged to renters. There are quiet streets nearby to walk your pets. Please be considerate and clean up after your pet. Pets are not allowed on the beaches without a leash. Printed here for your convenience is the Kill Devil Hills town law as it pertains to pets: Between May 15 and September 15 of each year, no dogs shall be permitted on the public beach between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. unless being used to aid a handicapped person. At all other times, no dogs shall be permitted on the public beaches except upon a leash and under the control of owner or handler. Please clean up after your pet.

great beach trip

The owners were extremely helpful and easy to work with! The condo was very clean and had a well-stocked kitchen. I loved the location -not too close to either busy road. It was very quiet, pool was clean and well-maintained. We had a great meal at Barefoot Bernies-great salmon! Only disappointment was that the ocean water temperature was very COOL! Not sure if that is normal or just this particular trip. Patio was so nice for rocking and relaxing. Beds were comfortable! Elevator was fantastic to have available! Would definitely rent again!

Fantastic Beach Road Condo

We just finished a week at this Ocean Condo and can recommend it to anyone.
Very clean and excellent decor throughout.
Well appointed kitchen with everything needed for your stay.
We will rent again.
Harris Teeter 1/2 mile other side of main road.
Multiple restaurant's and fast food places within walking distance.
Close to the beach.
Go. You will love it like we do.

Good Family time

My family rented this condo and found ourselves pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The spaces are very commodious for family card games or just sitting around being together. the loacion is very convenient to good restaurants and the beachfront is just across the street. All in all, a great place for a family get-away....and having our little dog there made it even better!

We were very pleased with this rental. The condo is exceptionally clean and well stocked. The availability of beach chairs and boogie boards was great, just one less thing to bring from home. It is just a short walk to the public beach access and the kids really enjoyed the pool. The owners were very easy to work with. We were looking for a weekend rental and they were very accommodating. We would definitely rent again and I would highly recommend this rental to others.

Great Location for the Price

As a first time traveler to the Outer Banks we had a great experience renting this condo. We were a little apprehensive about renting from someone we've never met before. But the experience was great. We invited friends down for the last half of the week and were able to bring both of our dogs and there was plenty of room in the condo for all of us. The condo was clean and smelled great. The view could have been better as it didn't face the beach at all. But the price made up for that. I would definitly rent this condo again. The owners were super nice and more than accomodating.
Owner's Response: Our condo does not face the beach but you can definitely see the ocean from our deck as well as a nice view of Kill Devil Hills from the 3rd floor balcony.
