Overview

Cooke City Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Den, 2 Bath, (Sleeps 6-8)

One of the Yellowstone area’s newer cabins, Silver Willows opened in the fall of 2010. It features many of the comforts of home with a mix of rustic charm, and is a great home base for visitors to Yellowstone and the Beartooth Wilderness.

The cabin is found in the small town of Silver Gate, Montana, 1 mile outside of Yellowstone National Park’s northeast entrance and 3 miles down the road from Cooke City. The Silver Gate/Cooke City area is popular with wolf watchers (the Lamar Valley is a short drive away!) and park visitors looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the larger border towns, as well as winter sports enthusiasts who come to take advantage of the recreation opportunities in the Beartooth Mountains.

Silver Willows is located on 4 acres of woodland bordered by Soda Butte Creek, which runs through the property on its way into Yellowstone National Park. The cabin sleeps 4-6 on two queen sized beds (1 in the master, 1 in the loft) plus a queen sleeper sofa, all with memory foam mattresses. We have two additional folding twin beds for parties of up to 8 people.

**April 2014: New faster high speed satellite internet installed.**

**Jan. 2013: We've added a master bathroom with shower to the upstairs, making the cabin even more convenient for larger groups.**

Whether you want to enjoy the wonders of Yellowstone, a quiet picnic at the creek or a snowmobile ride in winter, Silver Willows is the perfect getaway.

Very nice cabin and excellent location

  • 4 of 5
This was our 1st trip to Yellowstone, and staying at Silver Willows was a fantastic choice. We're VRBO veterans, and this was definitely a nice place to stay. The location right outside of the NE entrance was perfect for us. Although we love the adventure of always going someplace new, I would stay here again no problem. It's hard to imagine how beautiful the area really is....

Get your bear spray before you get to Silver Gate/Cooke City, or you will pay!

Best Cabin Ever for Visiting Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5
We have just returned from our 8th trip to Yellowstone since 2009 and this cabin is by far the best lodging we've had on any our trips to the park. We've stayed at the East entrance area, at Canyon, at Gardiner and in the Paradise Valley but Silver Gate is our favorite place to stay because it feels like your still inside the park and with no crowds.
To call this a rental cabin does not do it justice. It's really a vacation home with décor and amenities you don't commonly find in rental cabins in the area.
The owners go above and beyond to make sure you have all the information and supplies you need to make your stay a pleasure.
I can't overstate how much we enjoyed our stay at Silver Willows. We were already planning our next trip back before we ended this visit.
If you're planning a trip to YNP and want a great place to stay in a great location don't hesitate to book the Silver Willows Cabin. You won't be disappointed.

AMAZING CABIN AND SO CLOSE TO YELLOWSTONE

  • 5 of 5
Spent months trawling the internet and so glad i found this cabin. It exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. Wanted to spend the majority of our time in and around the Lamar Valley and we couldn't have picked a better cabin. The manual was great for us, as Brits, it gave us all the info we needed to work everything in the cabin. Cheryl and Courtney at the Stop The Car Trading Post were so welcoming and we really felt that if we encountered any problems we would be comfortable going to them for help. Everything we would need had been thought about and provided. Stayed in a few rental cabins and this is by far the most well equipped. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay close to yellowstone.

Look no Further, this Place Rocks

  • 5 of 5
Once again this cabin far exceeded our expectations. It is our 2nd stay in 3 years. It was super clean and had everything we needed. The new bathroom upstairs was an excellent addition and the entire cabin is better than the photos could show. This is exactly how I would build a cabin in these mountains. The inside makes you feel so comfortable and welcome. Everything worked perfectly - the gas fireplace, the WiFi, the many channels on TV, the laundry machines and all of the kitchen appliances. The location is excellent. My wife and I fly fished and had excellent luck in the Soda Butte Creek inside the park within minutes from the cabin. We have been to the Yellowstone area 4 times now near most every entrance and this is by far the best choice for location. It is known as the quiet entrance. Yet, everything you need is either a walk away or if you would like to shop or grab a brew, 3 miles away up in Cooke City.

Breathtaking views and awesome location!

  • 5 of 5
Returned from our vacation from the Silver Willows cabin in Yellowstone and it was awesome!! The location, the house, the fishing...the list goes on! Thank you Max and Jen for helping our family "make memories" at your lovely home. We enjoyed our days in the park as well as our time at your home. We thought we may be squeezing it in with 6 adults and 2 children, but there was plenty of room & we never felt crowded. The kids enjoyed the "beach" and the sand bar, while we had great fishing results right outside the cabin! The proximity to Yellowstone and the Lamar Valley did not disappoint...thanks for everything & we would definitely recommend this rental to friends & hope to return in the future

This is a great place away from the Yellowstone crowds and super close to idyllic Lamar Valley. The cabin is in impeccable shape. We slept very comfortably and loved everything about the house.
