Freeport, the home of LL Bean (open 24 x 7), is about 45 minutes to the south, Boothbay Harbor about the same distance to the north. Portland (and the airport) is about an hour to the south.

Stereo with CD and tuner, the kitchen has a radio. Fireplace. Screened-in deck. Tennis courts (for a minor fee to the local association). Clamming in the tidal bay (requires an inexpensive license). Fishing, Kayaking, Restaurants, Sailing, Shopping, State Park, Walking, Mosquito Magnet, Wildlife viewing, bird watching (osprey, great blue heron, eagles, etc.
