The peninsula has a historic light house, great sandy beach, general store, and nature trails at the tip; several wineries; and offers magnificent views of both the East and West Arms of Grand Traverse Bay. Visit the plaque noting that the tip of the Old Mission Peninsula is the half-way point between the North Pole and the equator. The area is great for either fishing or just relaxing in your boat or canoe. The loons, fish and an occasional Bald Eagle bring nature to life.
