Photos and Description of the Huron vacation house rental Affordable, Private Rye Beach Cottage -- Availability!

This beautifully decorated Cape Cod home, set in a private lakefront community, is only a block and a half from Lake Erie! 'Rye Beach' also features a large children's' park and plenty of quite streets on which to bike. You are within walking distance of Burger King, McDonald's and KFC too! It's a straight ten minute drive down Route 6 (West) to the Cedar Point Chausse (the route the 'locals' take to Cedar Point to avoid traffic)! More photos available upon request, including photos of the beach. This property is a member of the private willow grove beach association and includes beach privileges for our guests! The three bedrooms are set-up as follows: #1 -- one twin bed; #2 -- one double bed; #3 -- one queen bed.

  • There is no extra charge for cleaning -- you leave and we clean! For summer renters, security deposit of $100.00 is due upon lease signing; Rental of $795/week is due 30 days prior to move-in date. Security deposit is returned on or before 30 days of move-out date. If you must cancel prior to sending the rental monies, we will retain the security deposit until we are able to rent your week; if successful, we happily return the deposit. If you must cancel subsequent to sending the rental monies, we will promptly refund your security deposit and retain the rental monies until we are able to rent your week; if successful, we happily return the rental monies. Simple!

The place was impeccably clean (even the fridge...). The neighborhood was calm, beautiful and friendly. And we were impressed to see that we had access to a dishwasher and laundry machines. Anyways, we all enjoyed your place very much, everything was perfect, and be sure I will keep your infos for a future trip in that region. (By the way thanks for the little Hershey chocolates. Great Family Getaway!

My husband and I spent a week this July with our two daughters, age 5 and 6, at Barbara's house. What a great time we had. The house is adorable and very nicely decorated. The kids loved the stuffed animals and toys to play with, and it has a nice playground and a SMALL beach only two short blocks away. The neighborhood is very quiet and residential and everyone is so friendly. I only wished I had brought the kids bikes to ride too. If you are looking for a "real" beach, there is a place called "Nickel Beach" in Huron that's very nice. (Call Barbara's Mom for directions) Originally, we were going to stay on Middle or South Bass Island- instead we just did the island hopping adventure cruise, and I'm so happy we made this choice. Hopefully, we'll get back someday.

Thank you for the hospitality! We had a wonderful stay at your cottage in August 2009. The property was clean and well maintained. Everything we needed for the week was provided. Cedar Point was a blast and there was plenty to do in the area for the week. We would definately recommend your cottage to our friends and family.

Great value for family

The property description is very accurate. The private beach is small but very nice beaches are nearby. Very Close to Cedar Point and Put-n-Bay transportation. Not far from Catawba Island or Cleveland. The house was very comfortable for my wife and I, our married son and daughter-in-law and our younger son. The house was very clean and comfortable and in a very quiet neighborhood. This was a much better value than a motel or expensive condo with the comfortable feeling of being at home. This home was our base to explore and visit family in the Cleveland area. The owner was very,very friendly and concise in all our correspondence. If you looking for a nice, clean, inexpensive place for a family to stay, this can't be beat!!

This is a great value for the price. Clean, quiet, and cozy. Convenient location is just far away enough from all the "buzz" that you can get some peace and quiet. The drive to tourist hotspots is short and simple. Thanks for the weekend getaway!
