2+ BR 1 BA Cottage 'Sunset Cove'

While building,the owners concentrated on creating a cottage with lots of light and a very open, airy feeling, thus the many ceiling fans,cathedral ceiling and windows and french doors along front and side of cottage.The living room is furnished with comfortable new furniture and is highlighted by an antique stained glass window and a large corner fireplace of antique brick. The well equipped galley, kitchen with a granite breakfast bar allows ample views of the cove, trees and lawn. The loft is open and quite large, offering space for quiet times. Hammocks, wooden swing settee, lots of potted flowers, natural walkway to water, bird bath-all add up 'Sunsets' uniqueness.

Master bedroom includes 1 queen bed, 2nd bedroom 2 twins, and large loft includes 2 twins.

BR B Area: /B BR 45 minutes from Freeport or Camden. 1 hour from Portland Jetport.

About Sheila at L. Dewey Chase Rentals

We purchased land and built this cottage about 10 years ago(wow,time has flown by). We own a year round home in New Harbor, having been born and grown up in area,moving away after college but needing to get back to 'the ocean'. Our businesses have been in real estate and also Maine gift shops and so have always been able to meet lots of visitors to the area and loved every minute of it. Retail customers from 20 years ago still stop in real estate office to say hello when they return each year on vacation; we are grateful!

Why Sheila at L. Dewey Chase Rentals chose New Harbor

I think we were most attracted to this piece of land to build on because of its serenity. It is soooooooooo quiet with only the sound of lobster boats as they leave their moorings in the morning. There are now approximately 10 other families on the road,each owning sizable lots and so one is really not aware there is anyone else around.

What makes this cottage unique

Unique benefits of cottage- the chance to totally relax, either by sitting on deck watching the wildlife which surrounds,walking or biking down the many small roads which spring off Drebelbis, or putting in a kayak off the small dock and venturing out in Coombs Cove and paddling to some of the small islands and perhaps have a picnic.What could be better??

Drebelbis Road and Coombs Cove are private ways,located about 1 mile from the village of New Harbor.The road is lined with Maine pines and firs where an abundance of birds reside,thus offering the bird lover ample opportunity to hear and identify many species.Hiking,biking,kayaking and canoeing are popular in this quiet area.This tidal cove,a wonderful spot to relax,try a little fishing at high tide,sit on the dock and watch the sunsets or explore the other areas by canoe or kayak.
