Only private tennis court in the island, heated pool with pool bar. There is one dog residing in this property full time. This house in not suitable for any guest who is allergic or not comfortable with animals.
The house is actually nothing like the pictures....its ten times better!! The dining room table is the most amazing table I have ever seen and can seat as many as you can bring!! The kitchen is beautiful and has everything you need for a gourmet meal or to make a light snack or lunch by the pool. The rooms are all a good size for sharing and have comfortable beds. Each bedroom inside the main house (and there are 3) has a private bathroom. There are two other bedrooms in the casita in the back of the main house that has one bathroom. The pool and swim up pool bar are simply amazing!!! We had a couple of naps taken while swinging the in the hammocks by the pool or lounging on the large bed. The house has amazing sunsets and overlooks the ocean which is just across the street. The house is just amazing and anyone would be blessed and fortunate to stay there, but David is simply wonderful and takes care of every need before you even need it! Amira is a fabulous chef and we had some of the best meals on our vacation at the house. The chicken in green sauce and the house salad will be missed on a daily basis!! She prepared delicious dishes for our breakfast every morning and fresh ceviche for our lunches by the pool. David is just so gracious and makes the entire experience wonderful. We had some issues with a golf cart that wouldn't work and he was nice enough to help us get another one. My only complaint is that we didn't get to stay longer!! I would choose to stay at this lovely home any time!! Thank you David and Amira for an amazing bachlorette trip!!!!!
After a long day of travel, I felt incredibly welcomed at Casa de Las Cupulas. It did not take long to enter vacation mode, and shortly after we arrived, we took an evening dip in the heated pool and enjoyed a beautiful starry sky that included the treat of seeing two shooting stars!
Our days were filled with moped rides, seashell hunting, shopping in town, beach walks, and visits to the sculpture garden on the south point of the island. Breaks and evenings were spent at the house playing tennis, swimming in the pool, and relaxing in hammocks watching the frigate birds float in the air. The Mayan Temple also provided a great location to look out on the bright blue water and listen to the ocean waves.
The home is equipped with AirPlay which made it easy and convenient to connect our apple devices to the sound system and listen to music both inside and outside. The WiFi also had great range throughout the grounds.
The staff, Amira, Lizet, and Manuel, worked diligently to ensure we had a comfortable trip. The owner, David, was very responsive to our needs. I enjoyed a number of healthy and delicious vegetarian/ vegan dishes. I highly recommend the guacamole and fresh orange juice! The food is the best on the island without question.
This gorgeous home and surrounding gardens provide an excellent island retreat and I look forward to future trips!
The house and property are even more impressive than they appear in the pictures. The spaces, both indoor and outdoor, are very well designed for socializing and relaxing. This, combined with the food prepared by the chef, made the entire experience feel joyful and effortless. It's clear a lot of thought and energy has been put into creating the experience Casa de las Cupulas provides.
Renting a moped in town is highly recommended. It's a fun way to tour the island and visit the nearby sculpture garden and the clubs and beaches as the other end of the island.
One of the highlights of my trip was playing tennis and then taking a dip in the pool.
I can't recommend this rental enough and very much look forward to visiting again!
Two families , eight people , including one 16 year old and two 20 year olds.
The stay was first class and all inclusive. The property is lovely, quiet and relaxing, but the amenities are such that no one was bored.
There is a main house with 3 bedrooms and a second structure at the back of the driveway which has two bedrooms and bath downstairs and quarters upstairs for the grounds keeper and night watchman, Manuel.
The pool was maintained daily , and the tennis court was in good condition. The interior and exterior of the property were beautiful ,
The home faces east giving marvelous ocean views from the seating area on the front patio.
The staff of 3 are excellent. They are competent, friendly and well trained. They are available but unobtrusive. Every meal we had there was very good.
The owner was helpful . He arranged golf carts to accommodate our group . They were waiting for us when we arrived. He checked on us frequently during our stay to make sure everything was up to our expectations. He had welcome treats available for us on our arrival.
Beaches-North beach in front of Na-Balam Hotel and Sac Bajo on the west side are both lovely and easily accessible by golf cart.
Nearby , on the west side of the island, are two good but rather expensive restaurants, both in hotels-Casa de los Suenos and Villa Rolandi. We also enjoyed very much Olivia's and Mangos.
Plumbing in much of Mexico and on Isla Mujeres is such that toilet paper has to be deposited in a waste basket rather than the toilet bowl. This was an adjustment for us, but was a minor negative.
One of our young people who has traveled to many resorts internationally remarked that this was the best place she had ever been, and this pretty much summarizes our feeling about Casa de las Cupulas.
From the moment you arrive to the moment you depart, this property symbolized everything that a relaxing vacation means to me. David the owner is an outstanding host and Amira, Liset, and Manuel could not have been better support. The food was absolutely delicious (especially the ceviche) and the property was immaculately maintained. The property is minutes from the Mayan Temples and cliffside ocean views. Highly recommend to anyone looking to escape the daily grind.
Everything about Casa de las Cupulas is well thought out. Located slightly off the beaten tourist path, the villa overlooks the Caribbean on the island of Isla Mujeres, a short ferry ride from Cancun, Mexico. The island itself is a quaint, friendly place with warm white beaches on one side and dramatic cliffs on the other where the Caribbean surf crashes constantly. The villa is located on the sparsely populated southern end of Isla within walking distance of the Mayan ruins on the southernmost tip. The elevated stone patio within the walls of Casa is an ideal place to sip coffee while watching the sun rise over the Caribbean. The architecture, furnishings, and decor of Casa de las Cupulas are beautiful, interesting and unique, creating an atmosphere of relaxation. The greatest feature of this place, however, is the service provided by David (the owner) and the staff. Amira, the cook/housekeeper, prepared wonderful dishes for us daily. Everything she served was made from scratch, including an endless supply of guacamole, pico, fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh fruit. Evening meals were works of art. I spoke to David daily and his advice about the island - what to do, where to go, who to call - was invaluable. I called him several times and he never missed answering his phone. I was with a party of ten, and the villa accomodated us generously without ever feeling crowded. To summarize, there are not enough stars to adequately rate the quality of Cas de las Cupulas.
