Your home away from home in the very heart of the historic city center!
The perfect romantic getaway for couples.
Ideally situated for business people.
Located on the famous Flower Market you will have the scent of flowers at hand. It is perfectly located within walking distance of all Points of Interest Amsterdam has to offer: such as the Nieuwmarkt square, Chinatown, the University of Amsterdam and Amstel river to the North; the historic 17th century canal belt and Museum Square to the South; the old Jew Quarter, Hermitage, Botanical garden to the East; and the famous Golden Bend and popular 9 streets and Jordaan area to the West.
From the living room you enjoy the view of the Singel canal and the historic monument tower The Munt. This fully furnished 1-bedroom apartment is on the 1st floor (2nd floor by US norms) of a 3-floor recently renovated canal building from 1905. It is a small apartment but very well equipped and perfectly decorated for your comfort.
The 35-square meters apartment includes:
- Spacious bedroom with double bed (140 x 190) and closet,
- Bathroom with shower,
- Fully equipped open kitchen
(stove/electric oven/refrigerator/microwave/toaster/kettle/coffeemaker and washer - no dish washer)
- Living room with a foldable table, a comfortable sofa (which can be unfolded to a double bed of 120 x 190) and a lounge bench, including a flat screen cable TV, DVD/cd player, and Wi-Fi internet connection.
I would not recommend my apartment for more than 2 adults. The convertable sofa would be convenient for a couple with children though.
Rates include: all taxes, weekly cleaning and bed-and bath-linen.
Distance to Points of Interest:
1 minute walk to the nearest supermarket, movie theatre and the main shopping area
5 minutes walk to the 9-Steets district and Dam square

I have lived in Amsterdam since I was born, except for 5 years when I lived in the south of Spain. I think Amsterdam has it all: culture, history, friendliness, relaxedness and creativity. Amsterdam in summer is the best place in the world.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2006
It is the most wonderful apartment in the best spot of the city. Close to everything, yet very quiet at night!
Being able to step outside and have everything within reach, going to the movies next door, enjoying the lovely flowers every time you come home. There is a very positive vibe. The canal view enlarges the living room at least three times.
Thank you so much for the stay - the apartment is so nice and cozy and warm. The location is fantastic. Being NYers we explored the city on foot and everything was no more than 20 minutes away. Love the city's architecture, museums and people are very nice&friendly.
We had a grand time - 3 days is not enough so we will return. Until then all the best to you & your little ones.
My wife and I stayed in March for 4 days. The flat was great, it felt like home. There was plenty of living area, wifi, WC and clothes washer all worked great. The location could not be better, like others, although the tram is 1 block away we only used it to get to the station on the day of our departure.
The communication with Sandra was perfect, and she was also able to accommodate an extra day at the last minute. If it was available, we would certainly make this our first choice of accommodations on our next visit and would not hesitate to recommend this flat to our closest friends.
Much thanks to Sandra for offering up her flat!
We stay for 5 days. The appartment have a great, wonderfull, fantastic location, with a lovely view to the canal and the flower market, and near everything (close to Central Station, to Van Gogh museum,Rijksmuseum, etc.The apartment was warm, clean, functional , well furnished and fully equipement with a nespresso machine(!!!). Cozy indeed!!Sandra send before we arrive all the information we need and Guido welcome us...We feel at home! more than this, my husband forget his wallet in the appartment and Sandra sent it to my country ( Argentina) that means a lot for us!! A great experience! I recomended the aparment for friends and relatives...Thanks Sandra and Guido! You couldnt be more kind!!!!
A year after our first stay in Sandra’s apartment we returned for another wonderful couple of early autumn days. The apartment was as comfortable as before. This is no Ikea-furnished holiday home, it is much more like staying in the apartment of an old friend with all the comforts of a home fully equipped for living.
The location is as perfect as before: no motorized traffic at the flower market in front of the apartment yet several tram lines only a minute’s walk on either side. We only used the trams to get to and from the station with luggage – all other sights from the Anne Frank House to the Rijksmuseum and Artis is a pleasant stroll away. Also the proximity to the Albert Heijn supermarket (long opening hours), endless restaurants, and shops makes living here very simple.
For the price and convenience this apartment is very hard to beat. I would love to stay here for several weeks (and maybe make a dent in the extensive library).
The Flowermarket property is eclectic and comfortable. It was a cosy place to come home to after a busy day out. Its location has its advantages and disadvantages. It is within walking distance to everything in Amsterdam. The trams are about 2 minutes walk away as is the Albert Heijn supermarket. A fantastic shopping street - Kalverstraat - is just across the canal and runs down to Dam Square. The Flowermarket is just outside and is extremely busy though not disruptive. The display of plants and flowers is beautiful. However at night it becomes a thoroughfare for people making their way home from bars until all hours of the morning. Immediately outside the apartment is a very bright streetlight. As the second bed is in the living room facing the street it would be beneficial to have heavy curtains or block out blinds to prevent the light shining in and making sleep difficult. The second bed would also benefit from a comfortable mattress. The main bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was excellent with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The free wifi was a bonus. All in all I loved the apartment and would stay again.
Perfect week end with friends, the apartement is beautiful and it's in a nice quarter, you'll know you arrive when you'll see the mushrooms smilling (and by night lighting!) we loved too the back door we didn't find quickly!! it was perfect i recommand to all of you and when i'll be back i'll try to sleep in this place!!
Thanks you for all !!
