Located on the north end of the world acclaimed Kaanapali Beach, Paki Maui is its own island of tranquility. Paki Maui is a four-story, three building, 108 apartment structure located directly on the ocean with a sand beach and a double-reef so you can swim and snorkel in safety and comfort. This complex also offers a large grassy lawn area that fronts the beach where you can sit comfortably under the palm trees and gaze out on the islands of Molokai and Lanai and where you can enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon umbrella drink. Whale shows are frequent from mid-November through March and every sunset is amazing!

The Koi pond, lush gardens, and ocean surf all lend to creating a peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of the big hotels. Our unit, number 119, is a one-bedroom one-bath ground level garden apartment that reflects that sense of peace and harmony. Situated in the midst of the lush tropical garden, you feel the seclusion and the fragrance of the ginger plants adds to the ambiance. The trade winds continually blow and keep this shaded unit cool and comfortable-no need for air conditioning. Here’s a tip: The best spot on the island for a meal is on your lanai. We all enjoy going out every now and again, but the Paki is so relaxing that barbequing and fixing a meal “in” can be the perfect conclusion to a perfect day on Maui. The professionally designed kitchen is equipped with everything you will need to whip up a gourmet meal or a casual snack. The bathroom has a thermally controlled European shower system for your comfort. The bedroom offers a queen size bed and an efficient custom-made closet system in which to keep your island attire during your stay. There is free WIFI Internet, cable TV, and a room safe. You are steps away from the cabana area where you will find a swimming pool, spa, picnic tables, and Jenn-Aire barbecue grills surrounded by granite countertops. Washers and dryers are located on each floor for your convenience. We now have an on-site activities concierge located by the front desk that can book those special excursions for you from a snorkeling trip to Molokini to helicopter rides around the island to whale watching trips, all at a discounted price.

There is a Times grocery store just a 5 minute walk south, along with a Subway, Jazzin’ Java, and several other stores. Directly across the street is Ohana Tacos, Honokowai Okazuya for the best deli on the West Side, and The Fish Market for the freshest catches around. Just a few steps north is Bad Ass Coffee (Maui’s version of Starbucks) and on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is host to a Farmer’s Market in their parking lot, where you can buy fresh produce and other island delicacies.

Room rates are plus tax (Hawaii General Excise tax of 4.167% & Transient Accommodation tax of 9.25%) and a one-time cleaning fee of $100 will be added to your total stay. We can arrange for additional cleanings at your expense if you wish. There is a minimum of 3 nights stay.

There MAY BE a $20 resort fee payable at the front desk at check-in payable by you.

1/2 of the total rental with a non-refundable security insurance premium due at booking ($49) and the remaining 1/2 due 30 days prior to arrival date.

Cancellation policy: If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, the deposit is forfeited. However, if we can rebook the room your deposit will be cheerfully returned less a $50 administration fee. If cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival, you will receive a full refund.

This is a non-smoking apartment. There are designated smoking areas on property.

I just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic week at your condo. It was so great to arrive to a super clean, nicely furnished and well equipped place. just like home! The pineapple and other snacks were very much appreciated - it sustained us until we got our bearings and found a grocery store. This was our first home on Maui and we enjoyed it so much we decided to share our aloha and offer it as a vacation rental. We lived in this apartment for 6 years and maintain it to the highest standards. We love the entire Honokowai/Kahana/Napili area so much that we still live a short distance away and are usually available to answer any questions or meet any special requests. In fact, we look forward to meeting you during your stay!

West Maui is a wonderful tropical region of the island where the Tradewinds always blow and the foliage and fauna are the absolute best.

We enjoy being so close to world-class golf and tennis at Kapalua and Kaanapali. We also enjoy swimming and snorkeling between the reefs directly fronting the property. You will experience the most knowledgeable and the friendliest people you will find anywhere.

GREAT PLACE

Me and my wife spent a week at this condo and it was great ! The location was close to shopping and places to eat. It was clean and well taken care of with a nice garden and fountain on the porch and about a one minute walk to a beatuful ocean view. Located just a stones throw away from Honokowai Park which has swings and toys for kiddos I dont have any but would be great for a small family. I would most certainly rent this place again.

The condo was clean and fairly well equipped, the unit is rather dull because the sun doesn't shine towards it. The owner was very helpful with any problem and very nice to deal with. There is shopping close by and a great board walk along the beach within walking distance. It doesn't take long to go any where if you have a car you can go to everything in 15 minutes. Tour buses pick up at the front office entrance and you can make tour arrangements at the office. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The unit had a convection microwave and not a regular oven and did have a regular stove top. The kitchen is adequately equipped with the necessities, the queen bed is very comfortable,, bathroom is adequately furnished with towels, etc.

Overall our experience here was good, not great. First the bad : The owner forgot to contact me with the address and access instructions, I had to play phone tag with him the day before our flight to finally get the info I needed. He was very helpful and apologetic, and I believe it was an honest mistake. The first two days we were there my wife found a rather large sized cock roach greeting her in the bathroom, not exactly the best way to impress your new wife on your honeymoon! The laundry facilities are $1.25 per load for the washer and dryer each, quarters only. There are no change machines there either, so you need exact change. The "beach" behind the building is not a beach at all. It's a rock wall with a steps that lead directly into the water. If you want to go to a beach (with sand) you need to go about 100 yards north to a public beach or drive in your car to one of the more popular sites.

That being said, the facility is very nice, very clean and very well maintained. The condo itself is very nice. It had all of the amenities we needed and was very comfortable. The outdoor "beach" area is a grassy area with lounge chairs, which is very relaxing to sit in and listen to and watch the surf. The weather was beautiful the entire time we were there, mid 80's and a slight breeze.

Overall our time there was great, we enjoyed our stay very much.

I am sorry that there were a couple of "glitches" during your stay. We live in a tropical climate and as such we are subject to an occasional intrusion by an unwanted critter. The property is treated on a frequent basis to minimize such occurances but cannot completely eliminate them. The beaches in Hawaii are all public domain and are subject to "redistribution" by seasonal storms and ocean currents and change constantly. I will forward your comments about the change for the laundry machines to our Homeowner's Board and see if they can remedy the problem. Thanks again for your comments!

WEST MAUI PAKI MAUI CONDO

We reserved this condo for 11 weeks for my daughter who was doing an internship at a local resort. It was immaculate and beautifully maintained. Everything was up to date, the kitchen and bathroom fixtures were new. Very comfortable and nice environment. Nice pool area and the outdoor grills were kept clean and neat - we enjoyed using the facilities. Great location across the street from fish market, coffee bar, taco restaurant, and though the organic market was a bit too 'earthy' for my taste, it is there is needed. A great supermarket is just a short few blocks down the road. We snorkeled and enjoyed the ocean right at our condo complex. In short, the place had everything we wanted and needed. Owners Larry and Joyce were very sweet and accommodating - just great folks! Hope my daughter does another internship next year!

Pro - very nice unit with high end touchs, close to parking.
Con - close to parking, noise can be a problem at times as the bedroom window is next to the front door. There is no air conditioning which was not really a problem when I was there as a nice breeze came in the bedroom window.
I would consider staying there again.
My contact with the owner via phone and email was all positive, he seems like a great person.
