An open, fir, custom built staircase, is a dramatic entrance to the family theatre area and the cozy second gas fireplace on the lower level.
The home is well suited for three couples, groups up to a maximum of eight or families with teenagers. To accommodate groups of men, the new futon, the sofa bed, and two Ikeas single fold out chair beds and a family room couch provide for additional sleeping capacity to allow for 8 men.
Parking for two vehicles is provided in a covered carport and parking for an additional two vehicles in driveway. This home has thought of everything, including a large welcoming entrance with ski boot dryers.

Enjoy the rhododendren gardens interspersed with perennials to give three seasons of bountiful color and fragrance. Walk the four short blocks to downtown Revelstoke and enjoy the bars, international restaurants and varied retail and specialty spas.
In Spring, Summer and Fall, be challenged with hiking, mountain biking, golf, tennis, fishing, a gondola ride at Revelstoke Mountain Resort or just relax in the many outdoor cafes which are within walking distance of Russell's Revelstoke Retreat. The Revelstoke Aquatic Centre is down the hill from Russell's where visitors are always welcome to relax in the hot tub, steam room and sauna or take a wild ride on the waterslide.
Golfing at the 18 hole Revelstoke Golf course begins sometimes as early as April and always in May. Gaze at the mountains surrounding each of the fairways and keep your distance from the mighty Columbia River at the edge of number 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 fairways.
Revelstoke National Park is at your doorstep; a beautifully 26 km paved road to the summit will lead you to alpine meadows and blossoming flowers in the summer months. At the summit, visitors walk the 5 km of trails around the summit and are breath taken by the mountain views. More energetic hikers can take the 8 km trail to Eva Lake assuming no grizzly bears have been sited on the summit trails! Remember to visit Martha Creek Provincial Park, 10 km north of Revelstoke, where visitors may enjoy the 90 mile long lake surrounded by mountain ranges and breathtaking waterfalls.
