We have named our home 'Peaceful Abode', due to nature of the property. We are located north of Woodland Park, just forty-five minutes from Co. Springs. The home sits on 2 plus acres, with hundreds of acres of Pike National Forest, adjoining the backyard (which includes a number of wonderful hiking trails). It is also within a mile of Manitou Lake, which offers a beautiful view of Pikes Peak. It is within a mile of a seven mile biking trail which leads into Woodland Park. There are many birds and wildlife that frequent the property (to include rabbits, squirrels, fox and deer)--if you are very, very lucky you may even see a bear. There are also many birds to include hummingbirds during the summer months. The home is conveniently located within 45 minutes to an hour of many wonderful tourist attractions. The home is also only an hour and a half from Denver and an hour and a half to two hours to major ski resorts.

It is also located within an hour and a half to white water rafting. Some of the wonderful attractions include: Seven Falls, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, North Pole, Air Force Academy, Florescent Fossil Beds, Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge, Pikes Peak, Dinosaur Museum. The home is very nice and spacious. It includes three bedrooms and two baths. It has vaulted ceilings and is very open. It includes a full kitchen and has a hot-tub just out the backdoor. The beds are all newer and very comfortable. The beds include a king size bed, a queen size bed, two twin beds, and a pull-out sofa. Come and enjoy the wonderful attractions our area has to offer during the day and relax in our 'Peaceful Abode' during the evenings.

Amenities, Activities, Area: Amenities: Complete kitchen, washer, dryer, hot tub, Direct TV, VCR, DVD, and an air hockey table. Activities: Hiking, golfing, fishing, biking, sightseeing. Area: Located within forty-five minutes of Co. Springs--within an easy drive to Denver, skiing, and white water rafting.

Our vacation home rental was a wonderful first experience. The property was even better than described. The pictures do not do the home justice. We felt so comfortable and at home during our stay. I hope our experiences in the future will be this nice. I do know that because of staying at this home we will have very high expectations of our next vacation rental.

Again, wonderful experience!!!

Unbeatable vacation experience!

We had such a wonderful time at Peaceful Abode! Bonnie and Mike thought of absolutely EVERYTHING we could possibly want during our stay. The beds were comfy, the decor - charming and very home-y. We even found more staple foods in the cupboards than we really needed. We only had to shop for fresh and perishable groceries. Everything was well stocked and the place was immaculately clean. I don't think we've ever had such a superb experience anywhere in the nation! And all the sights were within a hour of the cabin... All so close and so accessible! We will definitely be planning a return vacation! I think the only thing that could have made it any better would have been a fire pit to roast marshmallows...Though we did manage over the grill!
Thanks so much Bonnie and Mike for an unforgettable experience! Your cabin will be the standard by which we judge all future "HomeAway" experiences!

Very nice home away from home!

We had a great time at the "peacful abode"! It was very nice, clean and well equipped with anything you may need. We looked forward to coming back and relaxing here after our full days of sight seeing. It was about a 30-45 minute drive to the Colorado Springs attractions (Pike's Peak, Garden of the God's, Seven Falls etc.)T he kids really enjoyed the hot tub, the foosball table and the air hockey table. If we are heading to this area again, we will definately look into staying at the "peacful abode" again.

We love to escape to the mountains, and this home was that! We wanted to be close and it to be affordable. But we never expected such a awesome house! The kitchen was very well stocked and there was so much room!

'Peaceful Abode' was a great place to stay! We loved it! It was clean and comfortable. Very homey and welcoming. There were big comfortable beds in 2 of the bedrooms and twin beds in the other. Lots of linens and nice quilts. The kitchen was wonderful. I don't believe there was anything that we needed that wasn't already there. There is so much space inside this house. I agree with the previous people that the pictures don't do it justice. The house is located in a nice quiet area on the edge of Woodland Park. It backs up to the Pike National Forest. It is very beautiful! It's just a short distance from Pike's Peak, Garden of the God's, Santa's Workshop and many other tourist attractions. I think the location was perfect! We plan to return next year. I can't wait!!!
