RUMPHUIS COTTAGE LOVELY PANORAMIC VIEW OF OCEAN

we live in texas and our extended family lives in many different

areas of the country. I always loved Maine and my sister and I

purchased this so that we can all get together. It is close to

a bird sanctuary and walking distance to the water watch from

Grand Manan

island is off in the distance You can see the lobster boats go

off in the morning.

my niece has just had a new baby and she will be the first of the

third generation to visit the cottage. We like to sit at the bbq pit

at night , telling stories, listening to the animals

and sometimes

not often you will get a glimpse of the northern lights

foghorns from the lighthouses nearby

you can view grand manan island from the house

The house sits on a hill and you can see beautiful scenery and

birds, wildlife, eagles

occasionally, a bear or a moose might be seen.

It is magical to me. Even when the fog rolls in It is like sitting

in the clouds.

Peace, quiet and as I have always seen it a place to save your

soul and renew your spirit a slower gentler and kinder way

of life It is like stepping back in time

I love rumphius cottage named after the book Miss Rumphius,

a children's story. Walk away from the hustle and bustle

and live surrounded by nature and a town just a few miles

away.The air is sweet and every where you look there is great

beauty. You can step outside and hike. You can sit quietly

and absorb the view.
