Punta Mita Estate Rental Photos and Description
Villa, 5 Bedrooms, 6.5 Baths, (Sleeps 14-24), private cabana on the beach
Casa Querencia welcomes guests from the moment you arrive. One of the only homes in Kupuri— Punta Mita's newest, most exclusive enclave—the house sits above a white sand beach, with gentle waves perfect for swimming or snorkeling. A lush private garden with an outdoor bar and fire patio leads down to a private cabana on the beach. The uncrowded Kupuri Beach Club is just steps from the house, while the Resident's Beach Club, two Jack Nicklaus golf courses, tennis and fitness center, and restaurants and surf shops in town are all a quick golf cart or bike ride away.
The friendly, professional staff makes it easy for you to relax and enjoy your vacation. Our driver will pick you up at the airport and our butler will serve you a margarita as soon as you arrive. Our cook makes wonderful, traditional Mexican dishes and local specialties using the freshest seafood, fruits and vegetables. Our housekeeper does daily laundry and turndown service, and our concierge will give you a tour of the area and arrange any activities for you. All meals, drinks and transportation are included in the rental cost (you just pay for groceries and liquor at no mark-up).
Designed by architect Jaime Barba, known for some of the most beautiful homes in coastal Mexico, Casa Querencia offers dramatic water views and cool ocean breezes from every room. The main palapa features a water channel running its length, spilling into the cocktail pool, which spills into the infinity-edge lap pool and adjacent Jacuzzi. A sandy hammock terrace beckons from the pool, and just below, a grassy lawn invites children to run and play. On the next level, a stone patio features an outdoor bar and fire pit with a spectacular view of the ocean and sunset. A winding path through the garden leads down to a private cabana on the beach, where guests can enjoy the privacy of their own meals and relaxation, or can partake in the restaurant and pool at the Kupuri Beach Club, next door.
Perfect for multiple families or large groups, this is a beach house designed with fun in mind. With a full basketball court, a media room with a giant surround-sound movie system, golf carts, paddle boards, bikes, kayaks and boogie boards, you won't run out of things to do here.
Warm, melon-colored walls, colorful fabrics and traditional Mexican artwork create a vibrant, yet relaxing vibe. Much of the furniture was handmade by local artisans, using native tropical hardwoods. Lines blur between indoors and out, with the main palapa open on one side to the ocean and on the other to a landscaped palm garden with a stone water fountain, and flanked by tropical pathways. Numerous private spaces beckon—a Tuscan-style pizza oven patio shaded by orange trees; a colorful sun terrace with a daybed nook perfect for midday napping or sleeping under the stars; a giant marble outdoor tub set in a private garden.
Each of the five bedrooms offers a private terrace facing the ocean, furnished with comfortable daybeds, so guests can read or nap while others swim and play below. The master suite boasts 180-degree views from a wraparound terrace, indoor and outdoor showers and a small office. Two other guest suites offer king-size beds. A fourth suite has two queen beds, and a bunk room sleeps six. All bedrooms offer AC, flat-screen TVs and iPod docks. In addition, a loft above the media room sleeps four on pullout futons, with its own full bathroom, while the media room couches can accommodate additional overflow guests.
Punta Mita has quickly become the destination of choice for discerning travelers. With its year-round sunny climate, two Jack Nicklaus golf courses, eight miles of sandy beaches, world-class dining and spa services, ultra-secure gated community, and proximity to lively Mexican villages, it provides the perfect beach vacation. Whether you're sipping a cappuccino in the morning on your private terrace, watching the whales play in the bay from your vantage point in the cabana, or enjoying a margarita in the cocktail pool or the outdoor fire pit as the sun goes down, Casa Querencia is the perfect home base for your Punta Mita vacation.

About Jane McConnell
We are a family of six from Boulder, Colorado. Punta Mita is our favorite place to vacation in the world!
Jane McConnell purchased this estate in 2010
Why Jane McConnell chose Punta Mita
We started coming to the Four Seasons Punta Mita in 2006 and fell in love with the area. We looked at houses in the resort, but nothing felt quite perfect, until the Kupuri development opened up. The minute we saw the white sand beach and turquoise water, we knew this was where we wanted to build our beach house. It was three years in the planning and building, and now we have a house that we truly consider to be paradise.
What makes this estate unique
We love bringing our family and friends—the house comfortably accommodates 20+. We're always happy to see the staff again—Pancho, who makes the best margaritas and limonada and serves them with a smile, Maggy, whose cooking is better than any restaurant in town, and Andrea, who takes care of our every need in a professional and charming way. Being on Kupuri Beach is a huge plus—homeowners come from all over the resort to enjoy this beautiful stretch of sand that we get to access right out our door! Morning yoga classes in the Kupuri Beach Club palapa are heavenly, as are long walks along the beach with a cup of coffee or snorkeling or kayaking expeditions in the bay. We have a jogging/biking trail right out our door, which takes you to the other beach clubs, tennis/fitness club and town. There is always as much action or relaxation as you could possibly desire!
Guestbook comments from the owner
“Thank you for another amazing week in paradise! Andrea and Pancho ensured that we experienced the best of Punta Mita. Maggy’s food was excellent and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome and relaxed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We were pampered, well fed, entertained and felt completely refreshed within a few days. What a special place you have created here.”
