Amenities: The kitchen is bright and cheery with quality appliances, including a Jenn-Aire gas range with electric/convection oven. It is well stocked with all the pots and pans and dishes you will need, including a coffee pot. The dining area has a beautiful handmade hickory table with leaves to accommodate up to eight and two bar stools in the kitchen. In the living room is a Vermont Castings gas stove with a glass front for those evenings when you want to sit by the fire.
Sleeps 9: The cabin, with its original logs and chinking throughout, sleeps up to nine people. The sleeping arrangements are: two queen bedrooms, queen twin bunk beds in sunroom, twin sleeper sofa in sunroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. All linens and towels are provided.
For the angler, enjoy good fishing. Bass, bluegill, perch, pike, sunfish, and walleye. We provide an aluminum boat with oars, or you can rent the pontoon boat. There is a lakeside deck with patio furniture and a charcoal grill for outdoor eating where you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets after dinner. Enjoy the sandy beach and fire pit. Firewood is available at several nearby roadside stands or the campground
Activities: We know you will enjoy your stay in what we like to call 'our little treasure.' Be sure to book the pontoon boat to enjoy the scenic cruises around Silver Lake. You will want to include a trip to the quaint fish town of Leland, the Lake Michigan Shoreline and Sand Dunes as well as a trip out the Leelanau and Old Mission Peninsulas and experience the beauty of Northern Michigan.
The cabin is located in Traverse City, Michigan, with direct frontage on Silver Lake. Downtown Traverse City is just 10 min., Interlochen Arts Academy is 10 min., Beach Bums baseball stadium is 2 min., and The Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes is 45 min. There are many festivals beginning with the National Cherry Festival, The Film Festival, Horse Show by the Bay, and the Northwest Michigan Fair. There are also many wineries to tour in the region and numerous local restaurants. It is located just a short drive from several area towns like Suttons Bay, Northport, Leland, Lake Leelanau, Glen Arbor, Empire & Elk Rapids.
