I am writing from the big table, which, incidently, happens to have been one of the top selling features of your villa for me! Although, the location, pool, and huge patio, open plan, gorgeous entrance and and and... were not overlooked.
You have built a delightful, warm and welcoming villa and I am very happy here, so thank you.
Beautiful villa, great location, friendly staff. We spent a full month in Rumah Belibis and loved it. Nice pool, big comfortable bed and bathroom, a moat full of fish, loved the views of the rice fields and palm trees out back, and found the antics of the ducks endlessly entertaining. Wayan, the housekeeper/manager, was very helpful and always available by phone/text whenever we needed anything and came in to clean twice a week. Wifi is by rechargeable stick and worked very well. Don’t waste time looking at the TV channels, or channel, but their DVD and book collections are enormous. The kitchen doesn’t quite live up to the impressive care and attention to detail that was paid to the rest of the house, but is good enough.
There are a number of good, reasonably-priced restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk, although that walk can get a little dull after a while. Café Vespa is only about 5 minutes away and is a popular lunch option. They were also building a small café just outside our door while we were there that will probably be open soon. We loved the fact that you could go out the gate and be in the middle of the rice fields within seconds - you can walk north to Terra Cotta Restaurant in 15-20 minutes, or cut across the fields to reach Jl Sanggingan the back way and make it a loop. There are a number of small shops and a cheap, efficient laundry within a couple minutes’ walk, and Bintang Supermarket is only 15 minutes away. It takes 30 minutes to walk to Ubud Palace, then another 5-10 to get to most of the restaurants and bars. There are plenty of taxis that will charge 50,000 to Ubud (maybe less if you are good at bargaining), or you can rent a moped for 24 hours for the same price.
Almost every day we spent an hour or two wandering back roads and fascinating rice field paths, choosing among an infinite variety of routes. If you are looking for night life this might not be the ideal location, but if you are like us and prefer the quiet streets, good views and endless opportunities to roam among the rice fields then this place should suit you perfectly.
I stayed for 3 weeks with my partner at the villa & loved every moment of it. We had everything that we needed for a relaxing break. The villa is spacious and airy, we loved sitting on the verandah and taking in the view. The outlook over the rice fields is especially beautiful at sunrise. The location is ideal, a short walk from local places to eat and easy walking distance (40 mins) to down town Ubud.
Booking the villa was easy as Roland was quick to respond and happy to answer any questions. During our stay we were looked after by Wayan who was equally helpful & friendly. She came to clean twice a week but was only a text away if we needed anything (which we rarely did). All in all we LOVED the villa and could not fault it at all. In a word, it is WONDERFUL!
I have recently returned from a seven night stay at Rumah Belibis on my own and like other reviewers, my only regret is that I did not stay longer. Roland was excellent in all communications and any questions that I had about the location, security aspects etc. I just loved the location, a small village outside the chaos of Ubud. Each day the locals would say hello and wave and after a week I almost felt like I was one of them. The villa itself is well appointed and has everything that you would need. Whilst I did not cook, I ate breakfast there most days and occasionally lunch. The living area is great although I did not use it at all - choosing to sit outside each night on the fabulous verandah and listen to the frogs croak out in the garden. The bedroom was a good size and the comfort of the bed was adequate. The bathroom was fabulous with an outdoor shower option and two basins.
The pool is amazing and is of a fantastic size and the bale is a nice spot to sit back and read a book. The views from the verandah are incredible, looking out across a rice field and watching the farmers toil away in the sun.
I ate regularly at Cafe Vespa, Kopi Desa, Lala & Lily and the Yellow Flower cafe which are all within walking distance & great spots. I also walked into Ubud itself twice and could not wait to return to my peaceful sanctuary each time. I highly recommend a stay at this lovely property.
My husband and I spent 8 days here recently and the only bad thing I can say is that it was just too short a time. We loved it there. The villa is great and has everything you need there, including a coffee machine. We mostly had breakfast and lunch there as we didn't want to leave! Roland was very helpful and patient with my many questions before we arrived. I knew we needed wifi, a private pool, a kitchen and a nice quiet spot with warm weather. The view from the verandah is amazing, looking out over the pool to the rice fields and beyond was magical day and night. It was a full moon when we were there so a few nights we had the lights off so we could admire the view. Our days were spent swimming in the pool, reading in the shaded area by the pool and exploring the local area on foot. Once we walked into central Ubud as we wanted to get to Taco Casa, the food is great there but the walk there reminded me why I wanted to stay outside of that area, so so busy and filled with exhaust fumes and dust. The bedroom and bathroom is so nicely done and the bathroom is huge, the place is kept clean and with fresh drinking water. It really is as nice as it looks in the photos, only better now the garden has matured, you feel the privacy without feeling blocked in by huge walls. I would recommend this place certainly and we would love to return, only we would stay longer if we could next time!

My husband and I spent the month of August 2012 at Rumah Belibis. We were very happy with the villa. It was clean, comfortable, beautiful, and quiet. We spent a lot of time sitting on the veranda enjoying the nice view of the garden and the rice fields while we ate breakfast and dinner or sat reading. We didn’t rent motorcycles. We liked walking and sometimes we took a taxi when we needed to. It took about 30 minutes to walk down the hill to Ubud to eat lunch at a restaurant or to shop at Bintang, the local supermarket. Every afternoon we swam in the pool, which was very relaxing. The bed was big and comfortable. The villa had Wi-Fi, so we could use our iPad. Roland and Monique were very helpful answering our questions by email before we arrived. Roland recommended a store near Bingtang where we could buy a cell phone for US $25. Ketut kept the garden looking beautiful and Wayan kept the villa nice and clean. She also refilled the water cooler. Ketut Budiana “Diana” was a great driver. He lives near the villa and he took us to and from the airport, to the temples to see the dancing at night, to a restaurant for dinner, and to the mountains for a day trip. We highly recommend Rumah Belibis for a relaxing vacation in a quiet and beautiful part of Bali. My husband thought it was one of the most relaxing vacations he has ever had.
