The relaxing screened porch with paddle fans and wonderful lagoon views can be accessed from the first floor master bedroom or one of the 3 double patio doors off the living room. The porch is spacious and has a large table with six chairs and two rockers. Steps take you down to the sundeck, which features two lounge chairs and the heated Jacuzzi®. Another set of steps lead you down to the heated pool with gorgeous lagoon views, a large grill and two additional chairs. There are 6 adult bikes in the garage for your use. It is about a 5 minute walk to the beach, over the lagoon and through the Hilton. The Hilton caters to the beach lovers with island music and island café open to the public. Guests can also drive around the corner to the Disney beach access, which has outside snack bar, showers and restrooms, and chair and umbrella rentals.
The above activities take place in or around the gated community of Palmetto Dunes which offers 3 miles of uncrowded Atlantic Ocean Beach, 3 championship golf courses, 10 miles of river lagoons for canoeing kayaking and fishing, miles of bike paths with access to Shelter Cove Harbor deep water marina with shopping, dining, chartering, and entertainment on 200+ acres. Enjoy a relaxing sun set from the screened in porch or take a short walk to the beach. We are approximately 8 houses from the foot bridge that you take over the lagoon to access the beach through the Hilton. You can also drive to the beach in 2 minutes and park at the Disney Beach access area with picnic tables, showers, bathrooms, and snack bar.
Golf: The best way to schedule your golf games is to call the Palmetto Dunes Golf reservation number 843-785-1138. When you purchase 3 rounds of golf in advance you will save at least $15.00 per round of golf. Please be sure to inquire about discounted afternoon fees as well.
