A wonderful place to stay

We just got back from an 8-day stay in the cottage. It was a truly lovely place to stay. The cottage is very tastefully decorated (as others have noted, even nicer than in the photos), cozy and comfortable, and we felt very much at home there. It was a perfect place to relax after long days exploring the island. We grilled and ate on the lanai quite a few nights of our stay and also really enjoyed the hot tub, especially after the more strenuous hikes we did. The owner, Harvest, is very hospitable and helpful and gave us complete privacy at the same time. We really enjoyed the small touches, from the coffee, chocolates and amazing fruit from the garden awaiting us when we arrived, to beach towels, chairs, mats and the cooler to take to the beach. The kitchen was very well equipped, and there was not a thing that we were missing despite cooking there most of our stay. Finally, the location is extremely pretty and peaceful. The cottage and its immediate surrounding area, as well as the town of Kilauea, gave us a small glimpse of the "local flavor" of the North Shore. This was exactly what we were looking for and more. We'll be recommending the cottage to our friends and would definitely want to stay there again on our next visit to Kauai.
