Beautiful cottage with 90 feet of private lake frontage. The crystal clear water and solid sandy lake bottom gradually drops off over a long distance making it safer for children. Water sports of all kinds are great on the lake, especially fishing. We are five minutes to Lake Michigan, five minutes by water to The Platte River for canoe trips, 15 minutes to Frankfort, 15 minutes to Beulah and Crystal lake area, 15 minutes to Pine Croft and 6 other great golf courses. 17 minutes to Crystal Mountain and 17 minutes to Interlochen, 22 minutes to Traverse City, 11 minutes to Empire, 17 minutes to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. We are in the middle of all the great outdoor fun Northwestern Michigan has to offer. Please, no more than 6 adults. This is an exclusive private cottage and limited to a select few. No pets of any kind, no exceptions! !

Only 25 minutes to Traverse City and the National Cherry Festival, minutes from some of the countries best golf, Frankfort is 10 minutes, Beulah and Crystal Lake 10 minutes.

  • A $500 advance deposit is required to hold your rental slot. This advance deposit includes $250 reservation deposit required to reserve your week and It is credited toward your weekly rate, plus a $250 Security / Damage deposit that is refunded after check out or can be applied toward a future rental if you chose to do so.

Great cottage for family with small kids

Thanks so much for making this cottage available. The location on the lake is great for the kids. The water is only knee deep for 100 yards. nice sandy bottom. Crystal clear water. Lake Michigan is 2.5 miles away with a nice beach. The dunes are 15 minutes away, Leland is 30 minutes, Traverse city 25 minutes, Glen Arbor 15 minutes. The boat included is a plus. A motor can be rented at Millers Hide away resort. Fishing is tricky on the lake. Proved to be more challenging than once thought. Local knowledge is usefull, as is a depth finder. The Trading Post is an excellent store, with excellent pizza. Papa J's has a nice pizza buffet. When we do this again we will take our own kayaks. Platte river connects the Platte lake to Lake Michigan. Really no need to rent it you have your own.Trout are in the Platte river so take you fly rod. Easy access with the boat supplied. Nice quiet neighborhood, and nice neighbors. Thanks alot, we appreciate it! Great location, and great for a family.

We just love this cottage. It is warm, It is clean, well equipped and they have a boat for renters to use free, and always keep it updated...nice people! Our third year.
