This is a family home, built from a barn moved from NJ by the NJ Barn Company. The house sleeps up to 10 people in beds in bedrooms, with a couple of fold out couches for extras. On the top floor the master suite has a king size bed, the bunk room has two bunks for kids and there is a full bathroom. On the 1st floor, which has the huge barn living room, and stainless steel professional kitchen, there is a bedroom with a queen size bed and its own full bathroom and laundry. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, one with queen bed, one with twins, and these two bedrooms share a bathroom with a walk in huge shower and sauna. There is also a loft/media room with a pull out couch - as well as large flat screen tv and two leather lazyboys. There is also a tv study on the main barn floor, with a mac computer.
The house is set into the side of a hill, and all ground floor all bedrooms and bathrooms have windows with views out onto the gardens and fields. The house is air conditioned, and has a great stereo system, with speakers outside for music al fresco. There is also a great outdoor shower for the end of a sandy beach day.
It is full of unique character, is a fabulous place for entertaining, with a 13 ft dining room table and serious kitchen. We have rented the house for many years, and every tenant has loved it.
There are two patios by the pool with outdoor lighting, with a large cedar table and chairs on the one closest to the kitchen for eating out at night. There are plenty of seats, beds and umbrellas by the pool. It is utterly peaceful, set in agricultural reserve, with gorgeous grown in gardens. A large yet discreet swing set is tucked away behind the outdoor shower and is ideal for kids with ample lawns for games or lounging. There is a grill right by the back door, en route to the the pool for grilling.
Located close to the hamlet of Water Mill, it is in the heart of the Hamptons, easy five/ten minutes to the beaches, restaurants, golf courses etc.
It is a lovely retreat, perfect for families or couples.
