The Bamboo House has unique Hawaiian architecture with each bedroom suite having its own lanai and view of the ocean. Very romantic.The interior is very open to the outside with large sliding windows, massive redwood beams around each copula , and koa wood cabinets throughout. The windows are etched with colored tropical scenes, the foyer has granite inlaid turtle (Honu), and all countertops are granite. The house is 2700 square feet with each bedroom 625 sq-ft. Private pool with mosic fish, and large covered lanai. Perfect for entertaining with BBQ.The Bamboo House is located in Keauhou Estates , in a gated community , just above Kahal'u beach and two golf courses.Easy drive to Keauhou shopping center, village of Kailua Kona, and all activities. You wont have to deal with Kailua-kona traffic.You'll love your holiday here, and make great memories. Very tropical, and serene.

The home includes all you need for a relaxing vacation. We have a kitchen fully stocked with an oversize freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and a separate wet bar with glassware, condiments. High speed Internet (DSL). There is washer and dryer along with soap, ironing board/iron in each bedroom, three TVs, VCRs, and DVD player in the living room. There is zoned air conditioning, which may be used at an additional $40 /night fee. Most people don't need air conditioning because of the ventilation through the copulas and cool elevation.

The pool has inlaid tiled tropical fish and dolphins. The pool lanai is where you live and entertain with a Bar B Que. the Kailua-kona area has multiple golf courses, kayaking, snorkeling, great scuba diving, sport fishing, para sailing, and tennis. The Bamboo House is located 10 miles from the airport, 4 miles south of Kailua Kona Village. There is excellent dining in Keauhou and a theatre in the shopping center. Snorkeling at Kahal'u beach is 2 miles away with green turtles. Our home is located in a gated, quiet neighborhood and maintained that way with private security.

Golf: Part of our Keauhou Estates fronts on one of the 2 golf courses. Known as Kona Country Club.

We stayed at the Bamboo House while on our honeymoon in Hawaii. The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. We were so glad after being there that we decided not to stay at a hotel or resort. The privacy, location, view and the pool made it the perfect place to be. Thank you Gerry and Mary Lou for making our first visit to Hawaii such an excellent trip.

We stayed at The Bamboo House during the Christmas to New Year's holiday week and had a terrific time. The house is well appointed with a nice kitchen. The view to the ocean is great, with nice views of the sunset. The location is in a very quiet gated community, it was very peaceful and relaxing.

This was deffinateley the highlight of our vacation!! Thank-you for making us feel so welcome and at home in your very beautiful home!! This was our tropical get a way from the crowds and tourist. The pool was relaxing and our evening bbq was great! I drew pictures of the floor plan and hope someday to design a home like this one. We also want to say mahalo for the sailing trip, the sunset was beautiful even though our men never got their "sea feet" (hee hee). When we return to Kona we hope to come home to Bamboo House! Aloha pumehana, Thomas, Debbie, Brian and Michelle
