Enjoy your vacation in a modern lake front cottage with 100 feet of sandy shore. We are located on the north end of Spider Lake only minutes from Traverse City. Spider Lake offers quiet time and time for fun. There is a 'no wake' law in effect early evening 'til late morning. The tree nestled cottage has a southern view above a sandy waterfront close to the waters edge. You can enjoy sun & shade.

Amenities: both cottages are modern and completely furnished, including telephone, cable TV, VCR, stereo with cassette and CD player. The kitchen is complete. You need bring only comestibles and spices. Bed and bath linens are provided, as are paper products. The cottages have two private bedrooms.

With a living room delux air mattress or futon, the cottages each sleep six people comfortably. Outside there is a grill, picnic table, fire pit, dock, and boat with motor. There is a canoe to share. Life vests are provided. Spider Lake One of Traverse City's premier inland lakes, Spider Lake is located just ten miles SE of downtown, on a paved, wooded and semi-private drive. The cottage is atop a stony hill offering a spectacular view of the lake. A quaint, stone edged stairway beckons guests to the sandy beach for a swim. The no wake policy is in effect from 7:30 PM 'til 11 AM to accommodate sleeping in, long swims, canoing, fishing and wildlife. The lakes many bays, peninsulas and islands are an ever varying adventure. This is a great sports lake for fishing, waterskiing and boating. Activities: Traverse City is a tourist mecca with all the fun things to do.

We are 'off the beaten path', 10 miles from downtown, near excellent shopping, restaurants, & entertainment (theme parks, water parks, golf, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, skating, and most everything else.

Another wonderful summer vacation on Spider Lake

This was our second year in a row staying at Ron's yellow cottage. We had a wonderful stay. Just as last year, the cabin was perfect, views were fantastic, and we couldn't ask for more!! We had a blast and would recommend staying at this cabin to everyone!! We hope to come back every summer.

Nice but needs some work-priced right

The description was accurate but was not very easy to locate as there are no house number. You will find it though because the tree has a plaque with the owners name on it.
They yellow cottage has a million dollar view of Spider Lake and a nice deck with a bbq grill.
The kitchen came fully loaded (except for the food).
The bathroom was not bad, a little old but clean.
We would suggest the owner put a screen on the sliding glass door and the front windows for ventilation; remove the soiled carpeting and replace the mattresses.
Other wise it was truely priced right.

I apologize that I forgot the screens; they're in now. The carpeting has a couple of very small stains, but is cleaned regularly. The mattresses are nearly new and are excellent quality but probably not quite right for some. I've had several compliments about them.
Please note that I give my cell phone number to all my tenents and encourage them to call if they have problems or complaints. When you're on vacation it should be problem free.

Best Summer Vacation

We had a wonderful time on Spider Lake this summer. We stayed in Ron's yellow cottage. The boat was a great extra that provided hours fun on the lake. We also loved having dinner on the deck with the best view of Spider Lake anyone could ask for. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The large flat screen tv was nice on the one rainy day we had. We also enjoyed the Cherry Festival and shopping in Traverse City and sight seeing on Old Mission. Ron was a great host and very helpful. It was the PERFECT summer vacation!! We look forward to next summer on Spider Lake!

The pictures don't do justice to this property. The view is wonderful and the cottage is fresh, neat& clean and has absolutely everything we needed to prepare meals all week. The property owner is very friendly and fair, the neighbors are nice and the lake is beautiful. We highly recommend.

My wife and I thouroughly enjoyed spending our honeymoon in Traverse City staying at Ron's cottage in 2003. We liked it so much that we came back the following year in 2004 for another week's stay!

The cottage is very nice & clean. It fulfilled all of our needs. Ron has a row boat with motor & a conoe you can use, which was convenient. For the fisherman, the lake is very good! There are many stores and a shopping mall within a 10 to 15 min drive. There is a Dinner Train in Traverse City and The Old Mission Tavern on the Old Mission Peninsula if you would like a nice evening dinner. Be sure to plan reservations ahead of time. Ron can fill you in and make recommendations!
